I am a bit of a newbie in this department...Im not really sure whats a good barrel and whats not. I thought that the bigger the size, the better the barrel, but apparently thats not true. What is a good barrel for my Shutter? I want to spend under or around $50. Can I get a good barrel for this price?

There is also something about bore size. What is this? Is it really important? Whats a good size for my gun?

Thankyou for the help

The Smart Parts Progressive or 32* Degrees Whisper would be good barrels. But I think they might be a tide over $50.00.

The Smart Parts Teardrop is an exellent barrel for $50 at www.paintballbarrels.com. It's the best one for the price. Also at www.paintballbarrels.com the Bigshot is $50, but I'd recommend the Teardrop

CP 1piece, jjceramic, bigshot, progressive, teardrop, etc

there are a whole bunch...get which ever matches your paint best (all of the above are medium) and the one that looks the coolest. The performance will not differ much.

CP and JJ ceramic. The ceramics aren't butt-ugly anymore since they started making them in colors.

or

The first is Custom Products, the second is Dye Xcel. One is cheaper than the other, so remember that when you choose which is better...

whats an ASA?
All you do is oil the o-rings? Those are the same things that are on the tip of the CO2 cansiter, or black, rubber circle things? I thought you had to oil the whole metal parts too, maybe not.
Thanks.

That belongs to a different thread... If you know the answer, I guess you can answer it...

Well I personally love my Lapco barrel. Ive never broke a ball since I bought it. Its really accurate, and I highly reccomend it.

so far ive shot at least 1000 paintballs out of my teardrop ive had 0 break. I don't own a shutter but i dont think he makes a big difference.

Ive probbaly shot about 3000 out of my lapco. And I doubt that having a shutter really matters in this thread as well vegeta. The thing is with barrels though is, if you get a good honed one thats not over ported and is basicly all around good inside, isnt too long etc. Thats all that really matters. After that its just paint to barrel match.
