i am not sure what you are saying but you can put the flatline on a custom and you can put a x-chamber on the 98 with a certain vertical adapter

urgh! theres a model 98 and theres a model 98 custom! I know the custom can take more upgrades but im wondering if the m98 (NOT A CUSTOM) can take the expansion chamber

Yes the m98 can take a expansion chamber. It will require a vertical adapter. The only things that are different between the m98 and the custom is the trigger assembly.

I am planning on getting a silver model 98 custom with autospirit stainless. I think the expansion chamber that tippmann makes comes with the vertical adapter. Oh yeah, and hows that starfire bolt performing for u?

Well, usually expansion chambers do not come with a vertical adapter unless you purchase a set or package.

Its great! I know a person with stock bolt and he has more problems with it. ALTHOUGH when my 12 oucne tank got low it started going full auto and the balls went down alot.

By a chance do you live in edmonton?!?! Oh well but i saw the expansion chamber in a little clear plastic box and had a steel braded hose on the bottom and it said "Tippmann expansion chamber .... "

The m98 custom is also milled so that the response trigger, electronic trigger, and I think some other mods are "drop in" upgrades.
