Direct Hit Paint Tests Produce Excellent Results
Readers will recall that your ezine editor gave them a "sneak
preview" report about Direct Hit paintballs in our 03.27.01 issue.
Since then, an APG test team received a courtesy case of Direct Hit
paintballs from distributor Tony Marigotta of http://www.paintballgeek.com
and report excellent results shooting it through barrel sizes from
.686 to .692. The retail price is $39.77 a case for 2,000
paintballs. The accuracy is good. The fill marks well on fabric.
There were no barrel breaks in markers with input pressures from
300 psi to 800 psi, both mechanical and electro actuated. It was shot
through both low and high end priced markers, among them the new JT
Excellerator, Angel, Automag, and EM-1. Visually, there were some
seams off center and some balls a bit lumpy looking, which did not
seem to affect performance. Since the first article, APG also
received a half dozen informal reviews from readers, all of them
positive. Direct Hit paint currently comes in one color only, a pink
fill with a pink/purple shell. Available from Direct Hit,
http://www.paintballgeek.com, 858.549.7020.
