Like bowman said, look into bulldogs. They cost a little bit more, but are worth it.

As for the PMI, I picked up a 68ci 3k tank around a month ago. It works fine. Havent had any flow problems. Its not exactly the best. Really, the only reason I got another tank was that a new shop opened up in my town. That means I dont have to drive a half hour to get my tank filled. Only bad thing is they cant fill my 4.5k tank, only 3ks.

bowman i had a bulldog tank i sold it because it doesn't screw onto the gun.. because the guage is too big for the stock drop forward... i didn't want to spend more money to get that tank to fit... and i know for sure that the crossfire and the pmi fit...

I've got a PMI and the the recharge rate is totally awesome. I've said it before, and I'll say it again, I've shot at 14 bps and seen no drop off with a Pure Energy, so what on earth more could you ask for? I would recommend against the bull dog though, the recharge rate is... well it's poopy (for lack of a better word that I can use here). And the most important factor in deciding a gun is recharge rate. Hell, just look at the reviews for the PMI and look at the reviews for the ACI on this site, I think they speak for themselves. Crossfire makes good stuff too though

I have a Crossfire but I just bought a larger ACI. I like them both but I think I am going to sell the Crossfire.

I have a 47ci Crossfire and I shot at 14 bps with very very little to no drop off. I also shot about 500 balls per tank of air. The 47ci PMI tank I used I only got about 350 balls per tank.

Well then that doesnt make any sense. You set your gun differently, with one of em, because a PMI 47/3K will hold just as much as any other tank at 47/3K. A tank will not affect your air usage one bit, so something was screwed up with your gun

I know, that is what I thought but when I was done I put the Crossfire back on and shot about 500 balls again. Maybe the gauge was bad on the PMI. I don't know for sure. But I was not happy.

That can be either one of two things

The guage was bad and it showed more pressure than you had

Or the tank was filled hot, meaning that while it shows a high pressure when you get it, when it cools down it drops alot (I've personally dropped 600 psi when it cooled down)

Or... you may have somehow entered a paralel dimension, triggered by screwing in your PMI tank, opening a hole in the space-time continuum, where your tanks get PSI readings that dont make sense, and hamburgers eat people...

well i have one explanation: The preset reg on the Xfire is set lower than the one on the PMI. The preset is lower, so there is less gas exiting the tank, so les gas is used. If you had an inline reg, then it should've had the same amount of shots. There is an equal volume of air that is in the tanks,so there should be an equal amount of shots.

It could be that the gauge was bad. The tank was only 2 months old so that means PMI was not that good to me.

Yeah but I'm gonna assume he's not running a preset directly into an intimidator because that would be bad indeed. And even then, all air passes through one of 2 regs, so it's still using the same amount to fire the gun inline or not. Or so I think...

When i got the gun I had no Reg. I was poor. It should be set at 500 PSI but, 800 worked for a day. Tank must of had a bad gauge. Bad gauge= bad tank I think.

I'm looking at nitro tanks and they eiither have 3000psi or 4000psi. but what does the ci mean? more shoots, power or what?

ci=Cubic Inches: a 68 ci 3000psi tank = a 68 cubic inch tank that holds air at 3000 pounds per square inch.

Also, a 68 ci 4500 psi tank will hold more air than a 3000 psi tank because it can have more air crammed into it.
