Definately a revvy. You cant compete without a rev.

How much do you have to spend?

Because, both are extremely important. If anything, you should get the nitro because if you have a hot gun from FPS fluxuations, you will get serious penalties, resulting in a not so happy teammate. The E-99 has plenty of blowback, so a Revvy isn't incredibly necessary right now. If you have about $125, you can get a 48/3k nitro tank and a 12-volt Revvy. Or, for about $200, a 68/3k Fiber-wrapped and a 12-volt. Both are important in the long run, but the nitro is more important for the tournament. Make sure you bring a good squeegee or two (battleswabs are my favorite) if you only get nitro instead of the revvy.

i will get both, but right now i can only afford one. and one more question. if a revvy, is what i should get, which would be better. a VL 12 volt or one of those ricochets?

That's a dangerous question. ;) Rico!!!

I personally like 12 vlt's more than rico's, they are slightly faster. Plus, you can buy a 12 vlt, and have plenty of money left over to save towards a nitro. ricochets can get pretty expensive, depending on which one you get.

Hopper, because chopping sucks, and chances are when you try to make that game winning bunker move, there will be no ball in the breech. I like the Rico better than the 12v, it feeds faster and after every shot, unlike the 12v.

hmm,, get a 9 volt revy and put in a w.a.s. turborev board (which turns it into a 12 volt turbo revy) - it owns - the upgrade is like $45 shipped direct from the company - well, only get it if you love to do long strings of paint..... its what they are good for.......

Get a HALO-B. Best damn loader out there. Faster than the revvies, more consistent than Ricochets. You won't be dissatisfied.

But if you don't get that, at least get the Ricochet. It'll deflect paintballs on the most of the body hits. Like the side and top. If it's a direct hit to the front tip or on the bottom, then yes it actually will break. Ricochets are just as fast and consistent as Revvies, but they do deflect hits and are better balanced.

I woudl really recommend nitro... cause if you get a penalty your in big trouble man...... Dont worry about the revvy yet.. Just bring a battle swab and your set.... I usually dont even squegeee when i break.. my barrel does a pretty good job cleaning itself out..

But seriously nitro for sure.. Get a 68/3000 fiber wrapped.

Go with the a motorized hopper. I prefer the Rico AK over revys but I would definately get one of those over nitro. CO2 isn't all that bad. Make sure you have an antisiphon tube and a good reg and your consistancty won't be as bad as some people lead you to believe. I ran CO2 on my piranha before I got my new gun and consistancy was never a problem. I did break my revy and while I was replacing it had to play a couple times with a regular hopper. Trust me having to shake your gun when you are trying to rapid fire or worse fire blanks when you really need paint to be coming out is a bigger pain then the possibility of CO2 causing a penalty.
