Ok guys, here's the thing...In career studies I have to study and give a report on a career. I chose the paintball industry. I want to gather info on:

Reffing
Wholesale products, online stores & proshops
Airsmiths
Proffesional players
??ANY OTHER PBALL RELATED JOBS??

If you can provide me with any info or links on special paintball related schools (ex. airsmith & ref training schools) that would be greatly accepted. Your ideas are more than welcome on how to make this a great report. I'm gonna ask the principal if I can bring in my gun without paintballs or air.
PEOPLE WHO ARE IN THE INDUSTRY OR ON TEAMS:
1: How did you get involved in the Pball Industry?
2: What kinda things do you do to contribute to paintball?
Any other ideas on questions?

IIpaintballer, could you PLEASE help me here? I don't know anyone else who works for such a large and successful pball company. How many years has I&I been selling pball products.

THANKS!!

If your as professional player your job is not paintball!

Why not? Some people make a living out of playing paintball.

No they dont. Ever read APG, or Paintball Magazine... Well there is a section in some of them called 'The Top Ten Signs Your A Newbie'
The last one is... "You actually thought proffessionall players made a living off of playing paintball"
-Or something similar to that... Not saying your a newbie, because... Um, I've only played a couple times... I'm just saying, the magazine sais that they don't and WHATEVER IT SAIS MUST BE TRUE. Muawhawhawhwahawhawhawhaw.
That would be cool to make a living off that though...

Yeesh, ok INSTEAD of saying I'M WRONG, could you help me out? If you're not gonna say anything helpful than don't say anything at all! And don't reply to this if it's gonna be negative.

That was helpfull... You mighta put down on your report that they made a living doing that... When they really don't. Yeah there is a ref/airsmith school. I saw the advertisement In one of my Paintball Magazines.

Aight sorry for lashing out. How does "Part time Paintball pro" sound? Do you know if the ref/airsmith schools have any websites?

Reffing
These are mainly part time kids. Players who help their local field ref games for free playing time

Wholesale products, online stores & proshops
This is a bit more difficult. You need some money to get started. Build a webpage sell the stuff, become an affilate of an established store. Basically its like starting any other buisness, just in paintball sales.

Airsmiths
Usually not only work on PB. Airsmiths do other things too. That is probably something you learn in a trade school or something.

Proffesional players
Most of these are just hard core players. Most pros do not live on PB alone. They usually have other jobs as well. How to become pro? Play alot and get good. Join a team and work hard. Same question as to: How do I make it to the NBA? Practice practice practice.

??ANY OTHER PBALL RELATED JOBS??
Open a field
Manufacturer the products
Repair Paintball guns and markers

If you can provide me with any info or links on special paintball related schools (ex. airsmith & ref training schools) that would be greatly accepted. Check out PCRI. I think they do a lot of training.

PEOPLE WHO ARE IN THE INDUSTRY OR ON TEAMS:
1: How did you get involved in the Pball Industry?
I play a lot of paintball, and there was an opening at I&I Sports one of the most established retailers of Paintball and I jumped at the opportunity.

2. I would like to Add that paintball is one of the fastest growing extreme sports. We are also trying to move away from an image of violence. Paintball is a sport where people can come together and play a game that promotes teamwork, athleticism, gives people young and old the opportunity to come together and interact. There aren't many sports out there where you can have a 15 year old play better than a 25 year old. Paintball is a young sport. We have the opportunity to make it grow and go places. So play safe, play smart, watch your back!

IIpaintballer, could you PLEASE help me here? I don't know anyone else who works for such a large and successful pball company. How many years has I&I been selling pball products.

I&I has been in buisness for over 16 years. We are one of the first paintball retailers.

Now that's what I'm talkin about! Thanks I&I, you've helped alot. I go to your site ( http://www.iisports.com ) quite a bit, I would order but I live in Canada and I don't want to go through border and duty tax hassles.
I think you covered just about all of it. Thanks again!
Dawg, good idea. I'm thinking about taking my gun in and taking the bolt and some other parts in the back out. My audience is a class of about twenty-five 15-16 year olds.

Oh, be careful about bringing you PB marker to school. I know you will, but make sure you get specific written permission from your principal. There are many no tolerance policies at schools now. You dont want to get expelled for something like that.

You could also comment on the growth of the sport over the last few years, # of paintball mags now as opposed to say 5-10 yrs ago or something to that effect.

DEFININATELY clear it with the principal. Also have him/her talk to your teacher just in case. Don't wanna see you get expelled (or worse) for actually DOING your homework:)
