Well hey again dude. I'd go with the BD Compact. It's cheaper, comes with a semi-only electro frame, faster rate of fire, can take spyder upgrades, and easy maintenance. I'd skip the bottomline and get some sort of a reg or gas-thru grip. Are you right handed? If you are, the right feed on the Tippy isn't going to be a good thing. Also if you tilt the Tippy a certain way, the flow of paintballs is stopped. That's what I love about vertical feed. Tilt it anyway you can and they will still go in the gun (besides upside down ;) ).

Honestly they are pretty equal for the price. Personally i'd go with a pirhana or tippman 98c. Tippy's are very durable and almost never break down. They have one of the best customer services of any gun. Tippmans are very upgradable and make good guns. Instead of needing a Revy with a tippman all u need is a star fire bolt. It pretty much stops your ball breakages. All I have on my tippy is a star fire no double trigger or 12v hopper. It goes up to 10 bps! One of the only problems ive had with the gun is blowback. Also with the right barrel//paint match and possibly an expansion chamber the gun is good to go. That is pretty much all u need for this to become a good gun. For the price range you cant go wrong! Both guns are very good for their prices. I havent had any problems with ball choppage as long as you get a good bolt. Plus if anything goes wrong pretty much everyone knows how to fix tippmans. They arent the best guns in the world but when u start out they r really nice. I upgraded to a cocker and i can see a big difference between the two but it was nice starting with a tippy very durable and reliable gun.

It's really up to your personal preference. I have heard both good and bad about both guns. You should go to a pro shop and ask to try them. NEW ONES otherwise u get abused **** and they are piece of craps. If you have the extra money to buy a tippy then a new barrel right away id do that. But if you dont stick with the BD its a good little gun.

Go with the Black Dragun Compact.i Have one and its not my first gun, in fact its my 4th gun.but, a nice little gun.look at the advantages it has over a tippmann.
BD Compact--- field strippable(tippmann isnt), lightweight(tippy might be lil bit heavier), its compact(hence the name- tippmann definately ISNT compact), Spyder compatable,etc,...
