you cant actually get a m98 anno'd because of some **** "Syn told me that" you would go with powdercoating it

looks nice much cheaper only flaw is syn's shop is in canada
tons of people know his site it is at zygotemedia or somethin

Anodizing is a process that only works on Aluminum. Isn't the tippmann cast Iron or something?

Jim (the owner) has a ton of powdercoating options on his website...excellent work and very reasonable too.

No, they're cast aluminum, but it's a low grade aluminum. That's why they can't be anodized. Powercoating is your best option with a Tippmann.

Ahem. Actually, you folks that say 98s can't be anodized are actually quite wrong.

Mine is anodized. Creek did it for me.

True, it's not as easy as regular aluminum, and it may not be quite AS smooth as an ano job on regular aluminum, but it IS possible. I'm waiting for Creek to send me my drop, and when I get it, and get it installed, I'll post pics. He did a camoflage ano job for me. It'll show up very dark in the pics, but it looks pretty good in the sunlight.

And I have to take issue with the idea that anodizing isn't very tough or durable. The color in anodizing actually becomes a PART of the metal...not like paint. Very tough. And when you have a friend that puts an aircraft grade protectant over top of the ano job...it's nearly indestructible. ;) (Thanks Creek.)

Just thought I'd clear a few things up.
