Me and a buddy of mine were talking yesterday and he mentioned being trailed by fire, which sparked an interesting conversation that really came to point out the difference in playing and what separates newbies from the experienced players. And this is my own personal experience whiuch I am sure some of you will relate to.Ya know how yu felt when you picked up you own first paintball gun and how it was the best even if it was a simply pump flawwed with endless problems but yet it was still "the bomb" and so you all got together and began insanely firing at each other even though paintballs weren't even coming close to having the distance to make it to one another all you were doing is wasting paint and giving up your position? or How when two players were dug in behind the two big oak trees out back for cover and even though no part of either person was visible for 90% of the time both trees had bared the brunt of 30-40 paintballs when you shoulda been aiming where the player might peek out from behind the tree? Or even worse you saw a player run across an open spot in the field to grab the next bit of cover in an effort to advance and you had an open shot on him but instead of takin a lead and shooting in front of him to have him run into fire you were shooting a foot behind himn like a fire trailcomin off his soles? Or the times when you had a semi and would dry fire it like the last of the mohekans (sp) Or just the fact that you like the cover in one area of the filed so you constantly use that general path to travel the field.
These are some of the most common mistakes newbies make and you don't have to admit to anyone that you make them but you do have to keep it in mind to improve your performance.Once you have some experience then it is time to work on strategy but with out some practice you won't get the basics and therefore you'll find it hard to advance.
