Well I like a remote in woods games. In speed ball I went too a drop forward and reason I did was I could move a heck of alot fast with the tank on the marker
i like drop forward because having my tank on gun is so much more convenient. Many places have dead zones where you can't take your gun. At least a field near my house does. So remote got annoying because i didn't have a pro-disconnect. Also stting your gun down on a table and forgetting your hooked to it is a pain when you turn to walk off and end up dragging your gun behind you. But remote is definetly lighter. Its really a personal preference thing.

Some people like remotes, some like the DF. Remotes fee up some weight on your gun making it lighter. while the DF can balance your gun out more. I like to play with a DF. playing with a remote feels weird for me. Just try both styles, and which ever one feels more comfortable, go with that.

YEah personal perference. Just a note, a remote can also act as an expansion chamber for your marker as well, if you are using CO2.

I like it both ways,I don't see either one better than the other in the way I play the game. In tournies I like it on my maker cause I gain a few secs more in running,And the slide into a bunker I don't have a tank trying to go up my ***.In rec ball I dont sldide as much cause of rocks big rocks even.

i like remote with co2 since it acts as an expansion chamber and lets you hang on to your gun longer without getting tired
i dont like how it limits your movement though....

you can move faster with a drop for ward but remote lightens up your gun so for woods remote would be good and for speedball drop forward would be good

go for the drop...........if you play in tourneys your more likely to need the drop than the remote...

go with a drop foward, i dont like how a remote limits your range of motion. and its awkward, so dont get one.

when you guys say a drop foward is faster does that mean you can aim quicker?
drop fowards do help your aim right? like when you put the tank onto your shoulder

Do drop forwards help you aiM? no, well not directly. they balance out the gun. some people's style of playing is to put it on their shoulder that's all.

I've played with both, and I can honestly say that if you find the right drop-forward, you will never use a remote again.
I use the Psycho Ballistics drop-forward. Someone told me you can find it on 888paintball for $20. It's a GREAT drop. The gun feels just as light as when I was using a remote, and I don't have to deal with a hose, or a pack. I'm twice as fast with my gun since I got the drop. Also, it's more accurate than with a remote, unless you use a stock with your remote.

GET A DROP FORWARD.....IT BALANCES YOUR GUN OUT AND ALLOWES MORE MOVEMENT THEN A REMOTE...

well I liked remotes for wooded play because I was carring a 110 nirto on an automag. too big. With the problem of forgetiing your gun on a table an walking away forgetting your hooked. I got a slide check put n my remote so you can disconnect the gun without air leeking. nice feature. for a drop forward a KAPP is really nice great size for big tanks. But with drop forwards you have a problem with the bigger bottles hitting the drop forward but the KAPP is really nice and works great

Trust me get a drop forward because in a couple of years or month you will change your mind anyway its like the most commen thing a paintballer will switch to.
