Where I live, paintball is not really a big thing, alot of people play it once in a while, but almost NOBODY owns a gun, mask, or equipment. Noone that i know of goes out in the woods to just play on thier own. There is only one indoor arena in entire city (Calgary, Alberta), and one place about 45 minutes out of town... I talk to people about paintballing, and the common response is usually "Yeah, i've gone ever once in a while"... so...

Central Florida is home to World Cup and other huge tournaments. Also, Wayne Dollack's Wayne's World of Paintball, where he hosts five big scenario games every year. Plus, Florida State Championships, Southeast Regionals, Viper/Venom series, and others. Best place in the world for paintball.

Thats a sad storry Fader. The same goes for my home state,Hawaii. But I am trying to remedy the situation by buying all of my friends Talon starter packs (there about $50) or just a talon or a blade ($30 and $25). Soon everyone I know will have a paintball gun and by the end of the year everyone will be hardcore paintballers....even grandma.

I live in Hawaii too (big island) and within the past 6 months, paintball is getting really popular. There are a few Speedball fields but that is a 2 hour drive from where i am. We might be getting our first Sup Air field soon though. so that is cool.

There are a lot of people who play paintball, it's just that most of them play in their back yards, and not at a field. if we could just get everyone to play at a field then...

Where I'm from...not that many people are into paintball. There's maybe a few stores here that sell equipment...but hardly any. You mainly have to order everything on-line. So the Shipping expenses REALLY suck! No one really knows where the fields are...unless you know a person. So that kind of sucks.

Well, I'm gonna try to get a game going every week from now until the beginning of summer (when I go away for my summer job) but freakin losers at my high school are all afraid... bunch of panzies with thier "Oh, I don't like paintball, it gives me welts" and "it hurts"... then again, most of the people i ask are girls so...

I don't know. Because I don't know what to compare it to. It could be very popular compared to like, alaska, or not popular, compared to florida, or some other major paintball state.

so many people play where i live. we could have made a team with about 3 different divisions in it, like team mullet mayhem 10 man, mullet mayhem 3 man, and mullet mayhem 5 man. we are doing the five man though.

It's pretty big here in Oklahoma... 1 in every 2 guys at my school owns a gun, and play more then once a month. There are probably more people that play paintball out here then perticipate in school sponsored sports.

Here in the portland, oregon area there is 2 indoor fields and like 5 assorted outdoor fields that are like a half hour to a hour drive away. Some people are really into it and own some hella nice guns, I even think there is a team here. Alot of people go now and then and love it alot and have some nice spyder, tippmanns and stuff. Then there is people who have a bunch of brass eagle and play out in forests they find.

Out here in Perry, Ohio, about 40 miles east of Cleveland, paintball is in it's infancy. Most of the kids in my grade either have a brass eagle gun, or don't have one at all. My TL+ is one of the nicer guns that the kids here have, right up there with an Xtra and a Pro-Carbine. We try and get out as much as possible, but the only fields are about a half an hour drive away. I'm only 14, and that'd be one biatch of a bike ride :P

Up here in ol' Maine, paintball is what we do for fun. Every weekend we go to the field, and play for hours.

It's getting bigger and bigger in Massatoosetts. I used to have to go to Cow Hampshire to play (I still like to) but now there are a good amount of fields, from woods to sup' air, to go around. Not to mention the retail stores.

Well Fader that can change pretty quickly.

When I first started playing paintball 4 years ago not a single person i knew owned a gun. We went to a field just for fun one Saturday. From that experience 6 people bought their own equipment within the next 3 months.

We played and soon had spare guns that we would let friends borrow. Then they would purchase equipment and we would have a new person use the extra gun until now where there are about 30 people with equipment that I know of.

Keep in mind that there is a field near us but their are a lot of ticks there so we tend to play a lot of backyard paintball.

Never underestimate the addictiveness of this sport. :)

Often times people will buy their own equipment after only playing once or twice. Also if your spare guns aren't the greatest people will buy their own and not be depend on using your guns, and then you can add one more new player. ;)

I live in Willmar, MN. There are about 20,000 people here but not many paintballers. Since we don't have a local field, we order everything off of the internet. We order a whole bunch of stuff as a group about once every two months. That way we don't get killed with shipping charges.

I feel your pain weezer, there are people that play, the just aren't really into it, me and my team(magma) have to drive 2 hours just to get to a field, also the only shop in town is a ripoff so I buy everything online

I live in Ontario, Canada. The largest and best field in Ontario (and possibly Canada) is mostly woods, they also have a sand field and speedball. Lots of people come. The place also hosts Canada's largest outdoor tournament.

4 years ago, when I started playing, NOBODY played in Tallahassee. Now, we have 2 speedball fields and EVERYONE is getting into paintball. I barely know any guys below the age of 20 who aren't getting into paintball.

I Live in chicago Illinois has some of the best fields in the country (badlands, CPXTREAME) But no one plays its sad really the only people i know who play are people i converted to the religone of paint ball. Whats sadder is i went from playing every sunday to every other sun day to once a month to almost never. That dosent prevent me from praticing or moddin but man i feel my skills are goin to waste
