it keeps yur tank closer into the gun and balances it. it is best for front players, i have never needed it

and good for speedball too. makes your marker shorter so it's easier to manuaver (sp?)

It gives your gun a much more compact profile. If you play tight, then this is a must. Playing tight minimizes the amount of target exposed to your enemies. It also balances the weight of your gun.
