Newb stuff you STILL do

I think we all do some stuff we see newbs do now and again. Me? I catch myself reffering to paint as "ammo" when I'm in a tight spot on the field, I tend to hang out of my bunker too long, and sometimes I even go in patterns snapshooting!
And I still shoot a Spyder....

i play at a really small field and we only have 1 ref, hes never there. so our only refs are just ppl who volunteer to do it, mostly newbies. but i bet in about 80% of our games there is no ref. and yet i CONSTANTLY call paint checks and yell "GET HIM OUT OF THERE REF, HES GONE, ON THE BACK ,AAAAHH" even when there is no ref.

i still put paintballs in my mouth for backup incase i run out of paintballs. Very good idea for scenerio games.

i dodge paint but thats cuz its easy to, and ill lob paint at ppl but then they just lob one back at me and end up gettin hit in the wrist or somethin

accidentally pull the trigger and shoot myself in the leg or someone else in the leg (almost got my arse kicked last time i went, said sorry to that guy like 50 times and the back of his knee looked pretty nasty)

every now and then I'll forget to put my barrel plug in.

I also have a nervous habit of swichin my saftey on and off when I'm excited.

i tend to lose my foucus and let my guard down in rec games and get bunkered. i also flip the saftey switch like a bizillion times when im bored or anxious. sometimes i play with the flip lid on my hopper lol.

speaking of losing focus in rec, its weird, i dont do that well in rec games, but when i play against tourney teams i do really good, maybe its because i focus more

i broke a ball in my autococker, what i did was........

take off hopper,cover the end with my hand (to clean out the porting) and fire, as u all know, u chamber a round and it stays in the chamber, i fired into my enclosed hand.......

sigh, that sucks - and i still dont learn my lesson.....

The one real newb thing I do, just to piss people off, shoot over the top and stay up way to long for my own good. it distracts the other team, draws fire to me and lets my team mates get'em out. Plus, I get to pull out my Matrix Style ball-dodging skillz! I almost never get hit either. (2-3 time out of like 100 games) I know it's stupid, and I know I shouldn't do, but who cares, If my team wins, My team wins!

Sometimes I start a game with my safety still on, and I won't realize that it is on until I try to shoot someone.

sometimes I will start a game with my impulse turned off. Once I started a game with no battery in my impulse!!!!! hahaha, I gogged a guy by taking my barrel off and using it as a blowgun to make up for it.

i forget to turn my hopper on alot at game on and i get alot of dry fires. i also shoot right handed when i come out left. and sometimes i talk trash before the game starts only to get my *** kicked

sometimes when i'm crawling on the ground, i leave my feet sticking up in the air!
also, I sometimes pull the trigger to see if my safety is on instead of just looking.

I drop my 12v all the time and loose peices of my gun(screws fly off my spyder like you wouldn't belevae). Sometimes i completely forget where i put my gun haha.

- Have a habit of switching safety on and off during a game
- Pop out of the top once in a while
- Almost always shoot out of the right side of my bunker (right handed)
- Sometimes afraid to move to another bunker in open areas or if there is a lot of fire and I'm under pressure to move from my team :eek:

I hesitate. I dunno, maybe it is super n00bish, maybe its not n00bish. but I see it as n00bish. I will go to run, and I will second guess myself. pop out of a bunker to run, pause cuz I second guess myself and get nailed. be in the middle of a run and can't decide if I want to stop at the nearest bunker or keep going to the one with the best angle, so I pause, doubting myself, and get hit.

ah well, I will get out of that someday, I just gotta remember to keep going, no matter what.

It's hard to tell who's on what team. Armbands and pieces of ribbon tied to your mask are really hard for me to see when paint is flying everywhere...so I just shoot everybody. My teammates hate me.

I have a bad habit of emptying half of my hopper on my opponent's bunker... Only to run out of paint when I'm in a tight situation :D. And once I would of bunkered three people at once but my safety was on...

I still use alot of paint...juss cuse im afraid i practically empty half my hopper trying to keep a guy down. I shoot in my barrel condom alot. :D I also forget to take off my goggle when I walk off, so most of the time, I'm the only guy in the rest area with a goggle on. I get home to see a ring around my eyes in the mirror...sad ain't it?

I shoot my barrel condom a lot and I also shoot my bunker, I sit in one spot too long, and I just shoot everyone. Anything that moves, gets lit up (and I've got a semi for god's sake, and I work my fingers to the freaking bone! Trying to shoot 10 bps of course)

I bunker a LOT of people (well over 50 in the psat couple games) but I dont shoot that many. (I bunker half their team when they where moving to come our rear and nail from behind with a bunch of people. I tend to hang back and watch the whole friggin' rear. I'm that guy in teh back who spots all the guys circling around and pins em' down)

I call paint ammo and when I refer to the tubes I call the canisters...

Can't really think of an obvious noobish thing that i do, a few times in the beginning i would forget to take off safety, and one of those times i had my cousin surrender. Another weird thing that i do is whisle when there is a lull in the action. It kinda freaks people out because the area i play in is small and indoors, so the sound echoes.

It is. Especially when my friends are dead (hey, there is one), and they answer from behind the glass, and the other teams side. A few newbs got wild-eyed when they heard the reply and whiped around to see the "enemy" on their side

ummm.......sometimes i acidentaly shoot when my barrel sock is on while i am walking off the field. sometimes i make stupid moves. also anything that moves gets lit up lol i feal sorry for the refs j/k

also my dad calles paintball bullets and after hearing that 24 hours a day sometimes i say I am out of bullets err paintballs lol
but that is just because i hear that all the time....i try my best not to pick up on it.I realy dont do it that much but i cought my self once or twice saying it.....its amazing how much stuff u pick up from other people and not even know it.

i have been skateboarding for 3 years and one of my sk8er friends kept calling a kickflip a flipkick....I kept correcting him but after a month or two of hearing him calliing it a flipkick i noticed myself calling it a flipkick it got realy anoying. He is gone now so problem solved lol

also i trying to get some of my skater friends to try paintball out and most of them were like....It hurts too bad i am scared...lol these are people who grind down 9-12 stairs and they are scared of a little paintball :laugh:

Sometimes ill fire with my barrel plug/jimmy cap on my barrel by total mistake.
I have a habit with playing with the safety... :D
if someone in a near bunker says something stupid to me ill sometimes pick up a paintball thats on the ground and throw it at him to say shut up! lol not often tho.. that was like 1 or 2 times
In one of our backyard brawls i played 1/2 of it on automatic mode by accident and then on purpose when they didnt know that my gun was on auto :D
