What kind of camo do you use. Do you use any at all. I was thinking of trying out like a hunting pattern like realtree or advantage camos instead of regular camo BDU's.

top = real tree camo
bottom = jeans
I hate when people figure if you wear jeans you suck. I thnk jeans are the perfect thickness, and why would you buy something more expensive.
For all you guys that buy the expensive paintball shirts, what do YOU use for pants, and why?

I play in BDU tops and bottoms and Nike 7 point cleats. Sall bout the 7 point:)

Those steel-toe boots are the most comfortable boots I own. I like them better than my Timberland hunting boots. I love those cheap boots. I am a back player, but it's not b/c of heavy boots. I also like to kick things and it hurts less wearing my steel toe boots!

a ghillie suit is probably the best

Yep, my steel toes are the most comfortable boots I own too. Granted I wear so much, they're practically form fitted to my foot. I run the tape so I need something lighter with better traction:) I play in sand/rocky sand so cleats work the best for me.

I go ghillie. I built mine with the directions from about 15 sites and kinda used all the tips from them. It took a while but it's worth it. The only thing bad is that you should have a canteen or water bottle with you or you might dehydrate.

Dont use real tree paterns, This camo or made for hunters, WHen hunters hunt they dont move they stay at one place and thats why the camo is specially design for them...

White Tail's sniper suit is much better than a ghillie suit (its made for paintball). They are very light and breathe very well. Check out pics of one in action in the reviews section of warpig.com
I used to know a guy who would show up with an old pair of green coveralls (uninsulated) and a can of spray glue. He would spot spray the coveralls all over and then roll in a bunch of leaves and shrubbery that he gathered up just for it. It worked great, he blended right in with the enviroment he was playing because he was WEARING the enviroment.

I wear army surplus bdu's, a pair of gore tex combat boots, a pair of real tree gloves, and a real tree mesh face mask. I think this gives me some added stealth, although i can sneak up on people wearing just about anything.

I wear a army-surplus jacket when it gets cold, and a T-shirt (which was white last time i played) if its warm. I always wear cammo trousers.
I think that most of the stuff people wear for paintball is the same for everyone. If they're playing rec ball they wear cammo (or wear white if they are feelin a little suicidal) and they wear something light and easy to move in if they play tourny or sup'air.

Ghille Suit. Or a tiger Stripe Camo suit because the human eye scans its surroundings horizontally.Tiger Stripe Camo is horizontal because of this it will be harder for you to be seen.

I have Mossy Oak Fall coveralls and a Mossy Oak boonie hat. My mask is painted standard camo colors. Nike boots that are about 5 years old...and the most comfortable things in the world!
Soon I'll be using a ghillie suit as well. I have a friend that was in the Marines that learned how to make them, and he's making me one. I doubt I'll use it every time...but it should be fun to see how well it actually works.

right now i use the rental camo jumpsuits that my local field has, but i want to get my own camo. i saw one guy who had cut out camo (not a ghillie, he was much more mobile but it was just as effective) and i want it. true ghillies seem far too hard to move in for paintball. i have been debating whether to get some military surplus camo or tigerstripe or other camo.
i looked for the white tail camo on warpig.com but couldnt find it. could you help me out?

"i am interested in the paintball sniper suit. i can't find anywhere that sells it."
"that's because we are the only ones who carry it."

"105.80 shipped to your door."
it went on a little after that, but that is start of the convo VERBATIM.

I got myself some cheap Wal-Mart Camo. Hey it works. Movement is half of being camo'ed. It doesnt matter if you have the most expensive camo ever, if you move you can still be seen. I have mossy oak from wal mart. A long sleeved shirt, and a pair of pants. Each like $7 each. Padded , which is good for paintball. Hey it works for me ;)

even if you play 70% speedball, you are still better off wearing camos for when you are playing woods ball. Why stand out like a sore thumb??
wear camo pants and just a regular shirt for speedball then when you play woods throw on the camo. i would suggest that the regular shirt have BEAVER FEVER written in permanent marker in big black letters.

I'm going to try out an idea I had. I thought trying a ghillie suit would be fun but then I thought I would be running around in a bush thing that I didn't really know how to use. I then saw in Cabela's those 3D leafy wear clothes, so I am going to make my own out of fake ferns and leafs along with strips of cloth attached. It probably won't work but if it is succesful I'll come back with a good story. :dodgy:

What i wear depends on how the weather is and what the conditions are like around me.
early-mid spring/fall ------ i use the old school camo pants.
i got a light tan back ground with brown and black blotches of stuff to resimble leaves. On top i use Real Tree X-tra. it has tree bark and brown leaves, but also with green leaves in it too because not all the leaves have turned brown yet.
Late Fall -------- I use Advantage Timber. enough said. Advantage timber is one of the best camo patterns. Also Mossy Oak Break-Up if you're gonna be playing in a very shaddy area and darker than normal areas.
Winter (no snow) ------ Advantage Timber. goes good with all the brown leaves on the forest floor. Mossy Oak Break-Up. Very good also.... made to break up human outline.
Spring ------- Old School Green Camo. Like the old tan/brown/black camo i mentioned earlier, but it has more green in it. Mostly green and brown with some black around the brown blothces.
I'm about to start making a Ghillie suit. I'm gonna try and make it really light weight.

oops!
Realtree Hardwoods is an excellent camo pattern. VERY VERY nice in fall/winter woodland games. This is a great camo. I either use this or one of my ghillie suits for winter/fall games.
Tiger Stripe is prob. one of the best all-around camo patterns.
the stripes are horizontal and not vertical so they don't catch the eye when someone is looking across the land for you. If you've taken an art class you'll know what i'm talking about.
you use vertical objects (such as trees, tall buildings, ect.) to catch the human eye and make them stop and look at that area on the painting/drawing.

I personally find camo to be completely useless unless you are attempting to "snipe" which I also dont believe truly exists in paintball (considering all guns get the same range with the exception of a flatline...)
I use a jersey with some black cargo pants, its light and breathable. Though my jersey is bright red/blue (JT Flame) I have never found this to put me at a disadvantage in any games.
Perhaps for those of you who play in THICK (and I VERY overly emphasize the word) forests, camo might make a difference....but at most parks I find it quite useless

I wear brown and red cargo pants (that material that makes that "swoosh" sound with every step) and grey shortsleeved Adidas t-shirt, and my bright red JT Flex-7IZE mask. I stick out like a sore thumb, and it may attract attention when I decide to come out, but it usually doesn't get me in trouble. Being sneaky and covert is more important than camo in my opinion. Even with my birght red "hey! over here!" red mask, I still manage to hide, pop out and eliminate opponants if it comes down to that. I like to play agressive, so it won't matter if they see me.

Flecktarn is an awesome ambush pattern. I just have to maintain some movement discipline on the woods and I am invisible. Smartparts/Renegades use the pattern in there Belgium camo line, but it is cheaper to use surplus Bundeswehr uniforms. It started out as a cheap way to create a german uniform for D-day, and is now getting to be a fetish. :D

I wear standard Army surplus camo pants and jacket for woods play and cargo pants with a dark long sleeve t-shirt for speedball. I'm looking into the Ghost Rapid Concealment System (http://www.unitedpaintball.com/Catalog/Exclusive/Exclusive.htm) for woods play. If you get a chance watch the vids on the link tell me what you think. Personally, I was intrigued. It doesn't look as hot or bulky as a ghillie.
Edit: Here's the link to the reviews: Ghost RCS (http://www.pbreview.com/1060/1/0/)

I wear Air Force BDUs. RealTree is only good if you don't move which is fruity. Camo doesn't really help that much anyway.

I wear a realtree camo coverall (coveralls are good for crawling) and a GHOST RCS Gillie. Very effective.
