i am gonna get a pro ts g3... online, i can get it for about $230, and in a paintball shop i can get it for $265. I know that in a proshop, i will be able to hold the gun in my hand and inspect EXACTLY what i'm paying for. maybe even test shoot it. also they usually have deals when you buy a gun and other things at the same time. Or should i go online, and save a few bucks?

I have bought 99% of all my gear online. I have never had a problem and have saved myself literally hundreds of dollars off of retail prices.

As long as you order from reputable online dealers you shouldn't have a problem.

I just found it at www.thepaintballstore.com for $209.95. There's $20 more you could save.

I have ordered from there twice. Never had a problem.

never ordered from there. Almost did once, but I got a better deal (it was on a whole package - marker, mask, tank, harness, pods, etc).

I've never heard anyone complain about them. I would feel comfortable placing an order there.

Think about this, if the marker doesn't work then you can go back to the store for usually free service, where are you going on line? Support your local shop.

well once you add shipping on there (and the fact that you have to wait for it) i really dont think its worth saving the $20 when you get to see what you are paying for and have someone behind the product their for you at your shop . . . i vote buy from the shop. my dad and I bought our first set ups (2 shutters) from our local shop, i also got my current tank and ric2k from them . . .

yeah. i'm probably gonna get the gun from the shop so if i have any problems, i'll be able to take it to them and they would help. they're nice guys in there too. i'll get things like a mask, tank, hopper, etc online where not much can go wrong

I'd definitely get it at the shop

every marker I've owned was bought at a local shop

the extra price is worth it for the service

If the price is fairly close, then i would go w/ the proshop, because you can hold it, maybe shoot it, and they might throw in some cool stuff, and they will help you out. If the price is quite a bit apart (maybe, $25 or more), then get it online. At least that is what i would do/have done. Like for me, i am saving up for a blue 2k2 vert. autococker, and can find it online for aroudn $330ish, while at my store, the black, right feed cocker sells for slightly under $500, so i will go w/ the online store.

is that how much warpaint is selling them for gib? thats crazy . . .

the main thing i like about stores is you dont have to pay shipping or wait and you get to see what you are getting first hand . . .

Yep, last i checked. They had also got a timmy in there i believe as well. The only thing i have bought from the local store, besides paint, is my mask and a squeege, and battleswab. But, i would recommend to other to buy from the store, aslong as the prices are resonible.

I bought my cocker at my local store for $400

They are all cocker techs (everyone on their team use cockers), and as long as I got my good ol' receipt, they will fix pretty much anything. They timed my gun and also assembled it, and will do the same with future upgrades.

The price was high, but definitely worth it for the service :D

Since it sounds like you'll be getting the marker from the local shop, you might ask them if they'll do a price match on the various accessories (mask, tank, hopper, etc.)

That way they still get to make a little bit of money, you're not out any more, and all your stuff will show up in ONE place.

use your shop, without a doubt. you usually get a hookup if you get a package, and if you've got a cool store, as long as you have the receipt, there should be a lifetime warranty on parts and labor and what not. then, if you buy stuff from them to put on your gun, they'll install it for you, instead of paying for installation cuz you bought your gear online. same goes with repairs. you buy a gun off a website, who will repair it when it goes down? not the website. your shop will. who's wallet will it hurt? your's.

and if you support your store, they stay in business and help paintball stay in your area and expand.

(ps - it never hurts to get to know your shop people, i was in my shop like 2-3 times a week for months, now my team and their team are very cool and we practice and get mad hookups and crap, good guys)

when i bought my extra the guy took $15 or $20 off gave me a squegee, oil, hopper, 500 rds of paint, gloves and a free butt plate for my co2 and -$10 from a 32* jersey. So it was really worth it for me.
