Does a Spyder Xtra use a hopper elbow? I think it does, and vertical... Where do u goto to buy extra vertical hopper elbows? I couldn't find em anywhere... They just have those standard bent ones for power feed guns.. Does the sPyder Xtra even use elbows?

I was worried about that too but they seem pretty sturdy. Let me know if you find some somewhere

oh and a... do u perfer the Xtra over a TL plus? and Y?
Yes I like the xtra over the TL but the TL is a good gun heres why
Same features plus:
vertical feed(which is freaking awesome)
better cocking knob
drop forward
rubber grips are standard
and just better performance

oh, ok... but im still kinda not clear about some features of the Xtra.. like the micro hose... isn't it platic? and the hopper elbow- can't buy extra...
But I guess I can get a new stainless steel hose for the Xtra but i dunno how long the Xtra'z bottomline hose is...
Does anyone know? And does anyone know where i can get some more vertical elbowz?

Damn it...now I need a new avatar.
Unless you lose your hoppers all the time I wouldn't worry about the elbow, i've held on to mine so far. When I got a drop forward i put steel braid hose on it. I would let your local airsmith do it because it is a pain in the *** to do air work. You constantly have to check your works every time you do something involving air. when it come from the factory it will not leak. However if you take it out and put it back in or try to make a weird bend with it it will leak.

putting on hoses istn hard. you jsust ned locktite or tephlon tape or it will leak. if you try to tighten it enought without either of those than you will likely strip it

wait, wait, wait,.... are u saying that putting on a hose is not just unscrewing the previous hose and slapping on a new one? Wut is dat thing u r sayin 'bout da tephlon tape or somethin? Or is it more complicated? Hmm....
Anyways, does anyone know how long of a hose u need to buy for the spyder Xtra? 8", 10", 11" or ? Is the micro hose that comes with the Xtra durable or is it a good idea to get a new hose? Maybe a stainless steel one or etc... What is the difference???

you need to put tephlon tape on the hose before you screw it in. measure the length that you want to use, and yes its a good idea to get a better macroline

This will sound REALLY stupid but wtf is a tephlon tape ?
Is it like duct tape? And if it is, why da **** do u need it when changing hose lines?
Teflon tape is tape obviously made from Teflon. It is used in pneumatic procedures. It acts as kind of a seal between the threads of the gun and the hose. Locktite is a glue used for similar procedures but isn't as easily as removed as teflon tape. I know its not that hard to put on hoses but airsmiths help you decide which length of hose and parts you may need to put it in

oh, ok. Ill keep dat in mind...
As for the airsmith, I think imma do it myself... but still need help... I don't know how long of a hose I need, what I actually need to do with the tape, what I need to do if I want to chnge the expansion chamber to a 6 stage one, etc etc... Anyone who have been messin' wit their gun and really knows about upgrading the gun and ****, hit me up wit da 411 on wut to do... Thanx

to measure it take a ruler or tape measure and measure how long it its. as for the teflond tape you can get it probably and your local hard ware store but you put it on the threads were you put the ends in the x- chamber and the thing you screw your hose into

get the gun before the hose cuz you don't normally need a new hose if hte hose didn't work then they wouldn't put it on the gun

true, but like i said before in the posts, i don;t think the micro hoses are as reliable as the stainless steel hoses... my opinion..

just get the gun and try the micro hose if you don't like it then get a steel hose
