tape worm eleminates bolt stick. I dont see how it could have anything to do with kick on the gun.

Some people say tapeworms help with kick. I haven't seen a tapeworm help with kick at all. Maybe a few guns benefitted from it, but in my experiance it didn't do anything for kick.
And more weight = less kick. The lighter a gun is the easier it is to get moved around by the bolt/hammer cycling.
first of all the tapeworm weighs nothing.
secondly like The Legend said more weight=less kick, why do you think the brick like shocker has less kick than an imp, admitedly if you put a heavier bolt/hammer in then there would be more kick, but as the tapeworm doesn't move when th marker is fired its weight has no effect.
Thirdly, the tapeworm, like all solenoid optimisers, eliminates bolt stick, improves efiiciency and reduces kick. its just that the tapeworm is a botom of the range optimiser and so while it does do a little to reduce kick it is not very noticable when you compare it with, say, replacing the stock bolt with a delrin (much lighter) one.
-This is probably why only some people notice a change in kick, if you have a tricked out imp (like the legend had) then you wouldn't notice the difference in kick as your kick would be a lot less anyway due to lighter internals.
