OK, I just got my first pb gun today, a Spyder Com2k, and I have a few questions about it. I have a mask, tank, paint, hopper, and elbow, and I will soon be getting a squeegie and some kind of gun oil. Is there anything else important I need ? The gun manual tells how to oil it, but where can I find how to clean it ? Most likely, since there is no field within 50 miles of me, all I will playing is outlaw ball, and I doubt any of my friends have a chrono. How do I know how high to set my velocity ? I know I should clean and oil my gun, clean my mask, and clean my out hopper after every game, but what other maintenance do I have to do ? Thanks, I may have to add questions to this later.

This Q applies to me too I live in rural missouri(god no) and there isn't a chrono within many of miles and I know none of my friends have their gun chronoed and I going paintballing for the first time this weekend!!! Should I be scared in the 40 degree weather Or should I take it like a brut forged Soviet

I strongly suggust investing $50-90 in a chrono if your going to be using your guns for long periods of time without going to a real field and having it chrono'd there.

as for cleaning you gun I would recommend stripping the entire gun down with the exception of the valve and cupseal
use water to clean off all parts and I have heard one drop of oil on each oring smear it around the oring and then just when you finish drop 2 drops of oil in the asa (where your co2 tank screws in)take your barrel off and fire it a couple times (you don't want oil inside your barrel)
and water will not hurt your gun because aluminum and stainless steal do not rust or corrode

Well, I don't really know of any place around here to get real PB gun oil. I just got a new can of 3-in-1, though.

I might have one, there's this one store I haven't gone to yet, its some guy's pb shop, I'm not sure what they have. How is RPS Super Swirl paint ? I just got a bag of it at Wal-Mart, its the best they had. I know most RPS is good, but there's no review for this.

I sometimes use 3 in 1 oil in winter and it works fine.

Basically follow the manufacturers warning. You can get some ACI air lube also for oil. Oil after every day of play and make sure to clean your gun as well. Squeegee your barrel if you get a break and make sure you know how to reassemble your gun as well.

Chrono...get one. There not that expensive. If your paintballs are smacking loud against the trees...might be too fast. If you can, dont buy paint at walmart. THey dont store it properly and most of there paint(despite who makes it) isnt good because stored improperly.
