Both of the barrels I'm recommending are medium bore, so they should shoot a wide variety of paint.
1. Lapco Bigshot from www.countypaintball.com. Cheap price for awesome performance. Only $50 (not including S/H). Not too quiet, but if you have a -98 then a quiet barrel won't do much. With correct paint to barrel match, I've never shot anything more accurate. My personal recomendation to you.
2. Smart Parts All American from www.firstcallpaintball.com. Also a cheap price for great performance. $49.99 (not including S/H). Quieter than the Bigshot, but the trade-off is less accuracy. It is not much less accurate, but it is noticably quieter than the Bigshot.
Anyways, it's your choice. Those are just what I reccommend you to look at.

If you want a cheap but good shooting barrel, I'm going to suggest either a Lapco barrel (Autospirit or Bigshot depending on what paint you shoot) or a CP one piece.
The Lapco's are really cheap in the scheme of things, $50 or so depending on where you find them. Bigshot (medium bore) will shoot a wide range of paint very accurately, and due to the low amount of porting, very efficienty. They're light, accurate, efficient, inexpensive, and sharp looking. Get an Autospirit if you tend to shoot smaller paintballs. www.countypaintball.com for that one
CP's are also great barrels. They've got a little bit more porting than the Lapco's and as a result are a bit quieter, and a tiny bit less efficient. With the right paint-barrel match they'll shoot like the bet barrels. Cheap, accurate, and nice looking. www.modifiedpaintball. for around $45 or so. Heck, get two, one a larger bore and one a smaller bore for different paint.
[edit] BTW, don't buy a barrel over 14", no more accurate. just cumbersome and inneficient.
