heres tha deal . . . this summer i will be getting a new gun but i am not sure what to get. i will have about $650 to spend on my entire setup (air and all) as of right now i am shooting a spyder shutter that is pretty much stock (except for a big shot barrel) but i was wondering what kind of gun i should get. the guns i was thinking about were a bushy/defiant, used mag (so its already tricked out), RT mag, or a nice cocker. i would love a cocker but i am not sure if i can keep up with maitenance, is it really that hard? i maintained my shutter very well and i learned ever part in my shutter in a matter of minutes. how hard is it to time a cocker and how often do i have to do it? what kind of gun would YOU get and for what reason if u were in my shoes?
the next thing is i have to decide what kind of harness to get by friday, i was lookin at a redz, ronin, or jacko. any opinions or suggestions? (p.s. i want vert. pods)
thx in advance guys . . . see ya round

you learned every part of your shutter! sounds like your ready to upgrade. Once you figure out how the cocker trigger works many different parts of the gun, you'll pick up on timing. once you get it down, it'll be like riding a bike

Honestly, I really like the RT mags. I'd like to pick one up as my backup because they are unbreakable and very fast for lubing you need only put a few drops of oil into your ASA and fire a few times, that's it. No disaseembly no nothing. For cleaning, if you felt so inclined you could just submerge it under water. Busheys are pretty darn nice too, and have a more varied upgrade path over the mag, and are also easy (not as easy, but very easy) to maintain. They're electropnuematic, so you better believe they're fast as well. Unlike an RT, a bushmaster cannot be shortstroked, every time you try and pull the trigger the gun will fire properly, if you dont learn your RTs trigger, you'll turn it into a blender. Most people will prefer the bushmaster over all the others you listed, I'm just partial to the RT. I'm not a real cocker fan though, but some may also like that.

ya i thought about an impulse or shocker but they just arent as tempting as a bushy or a cocker . . . my goal is to get a KAPP cocker blue/green fade MMMMmmmmm = )~~ ~ (im drooling hehe) i doubt i will be able to get that exact gun but that would rule!!! i dont really like the looks of the impulse and shockers. . . dunno why?
Dude bushys are sweet as hell. If I were you I would love to get a bushy with a crossfire tank with maxflo reg. I would go with a redz pack they are tough and lots of people love them. I like the 3 vertical- rat pack. By the way they bushy can be had for 445.90 at paintballgear.com. Thats the best price I found.

Well, look at black magic cockers, those are veeery nice. GO for bushy + nitro if you don't like the impulse, but as for packs, jackos are kinda poopy, REDZ are very nice but then again, those are 80 bucks, RASE are great packs, only 60, and extreme rage are supposed to be great. As for RTs, if you want an RT, Get a MicroMag RT, those look awesome. But the RT's need air

well no matter what i get i definately want to get air for it. how much do the black magic cockers go for? they do look sweeeet as 'ell i saw them on a pigtv video mmmmmmmm hehe ya i read good things about the extreme rae packs and they are only $35 for the 4pack from kapp's webiste (kickasspaintball.comm) i was also thinkin about gettin a evlution loader instead . . . what do u think would be more important, loader or harness? (kapp is selling the evlution for $52)

evolution sucks, get a 12vlt with that one upgrade, eltwitcho knows the site, and u'll need a harness tofeed any of those guns

do they suck? whats wrong wit 'em? maybe ill just go for a harness then . . .
I've read 2 or 3 articles on them and here are down sides. Higher profile with the same feed rate as a revvy
feed door too small and weak
loader neck too weak
and lots of over all problems
I'd just stick with the guaranteed best 12 volt revvy(clear in my opinion)

def gt the revvy pver harness. with a hh end gun like that you'll be choppin balls like crazy. the harness isnt as important

Out of the harnesses, I reccommend Ronin. Best quality and functionality for the price. Their slam packa fn stealth pack are probably some of the better harnesses on the market.
Depending on how fast you shoot, a 9v may be all you need. 12v is top of the line, but if you arent shooting that fast you dont need something with that capability. The mag and cocker can outshoot a 9v though.
For the price rage, you may want to go with a cocker or mag. 650 for marker and tank is a little low for a bushy. on the cheap side you would still be pushing the high 700 range for a good bushy setup.

u can get a brand new one for less than $450 and i should have no prob gettin a tank and stuff for $200 and if i find a used package with some upgrades i sure the seller would probably take $650 (depending on the specifics of course) after lookin at a black magic cocker and seeing bushy/defiant set ups i am leaning towards those two and away from a mag . . . (if i end up not having enough for nitro after i get a gun my parents will most likely help me out because its right around my b-day)

the extreme rage pack. i am getting the 4 vert pod one from KAPP for only like $35. in the reviews on this site it was rated 9.8, sounds good to me, ill let yall know how i like it when it gets here. . . i am still thinkin aobut what gun to get though . . . another one that i thought about was gettin a pgp pistol and turning it into a semi (stroker) by palmer, what do you guys think about that? waste of money? it is pretty expensive gotta buy the pgp then its 355 to convert it. it looks sweet when its done though.
