hi its bleeks brother. I am going to get the dye x-cel barrel for a spyder. My main problem is the length of it. I can get it in either 12' or . I have no idea which on is better and what the advantages and dis-advantages are of getting the different lengths. They are both the same price. PLease tell me which on is better and why! tahnks

12' is too short for me, some stock barrels are 12 so i would go with the 14 for a little better accuracy. Anything past 16' wont do you any good.

I dont understand why people think the longer the barrel, the more accurate. It has been proven that its not true. Any good barrel shoots the about same whether its 12in. or 14in. It is mainly preference about the length of the barrel. I think 14 is too long because i am always hitting the bunker with it

he's right. your not gaining any accuracy with a longer barrel

It depends on the place you are playing if it is speedball go for the samller one...It all depends on what you want.

i know but the type of barrel longer is better and for spyders it is usally a 14 that most get and 14 works good on most guns my friend has a 20 inch barrel on his xtra and it works fine it is alot more accurate and in my opinion and in what i have seen i am going with longer better!

I would go with the 12'' barrel. It's shorter so it makes better use on the speedball field, but it is still long enough to be fairly quite. Gernally though, if you play woods ball I would go with a 14'' barrel. Either way you can't go wrong.

anything longer than 16 inches just puts drag on your barrel and 12 inches is comfortable to move around
if you play both speedball and rec walk on, get a 14
its all prety much preference
plus, a longer barrel on a spyder would help you aim better since the spyders dont have a visible sight rail unless you upgrade yours
