I have a Sniper 2(in the pic) right now and i had to sell my Nova 700 because i had a short-stroking problem with it. I would like to know what kind of gun I should get for under $500 pump, semi, or electro. I really like playing pump but am planning on going to some tourneys this summer and need a higher end gun. thanks

why don't you try a mag or a decked out 98
I know that there is a long debate between mag and cocker users, I would suggest getting either one, I have a retro mini mag with benchy 2x frame and love it. That is my tourney gun and have been able to keep up with most of the electros.
The Mags and Cockers are well worth the money. I know you said under 500 but if you come up with the extra cash get a 2k1 STO Cocker. I am a firm mag shooter but fell in love with one when I shot it last week.
You can get a bushy for 445.90 at paintballgear.com. It is just a sweet gun. I would also reccomend a cocker, good guns once you get them set up right. Pretty similar to your Sniper 2 as you probably know. Good luck with your search

dude, ur sniper looks pretty tricked. u want a nice tourney gun? all u have to do is get the "autococking" system. the sniper is basicalliy an autococker without the pnuematics. im not sure where, but i know there are a few places that sell the autococking kit to switch from a sniper to an autococker. after u get it, just get someone to install it for you, and there u go, an ice gun with upgrades that u already have.

True, the easiest thing to do would to be add pneus and get a shorter barrel.
If not, I'd go with a nice used shocker.
