I was wondering if anyone one else has noticed this? My buddy has a spyder with an all american barrel and his girl has a piranha and I have a piranha as well as about 3 other people we play with and I have to say out of all the piranhas I have seen not a single one of them seem to be half as accurate as his spyder.I know many of us from time to time have been if fire fights with him on numerous occasions and his spyder seems to eat them alive!!! Has anyone else experienced this? I mean to give you an idea how accurate this gun is NO EXAGERATIONS he was standing at the back of a friends yard and from 40 yards away he was pelting this foot wide tree I was standing behing and I was meerely sending them 1-3 feet to either side of him and have seen many people do the same thing with him I have to wonder if this is just a miracle spyder of if this is general consesus???

Could be he has a better paint to barrel match or can just aim better.
Velocity might be a little higher helping be more accurate over distance as well. Do you guys have stock barrels on yours? You mentioned barrels he has what about your barrels? Velocity shooting at as well?

I've Shot BE, MArb, Kick'n, and PMI so far.. Marb and kicking do the best ( 1-1/2 - 2 foot spread at 70 feet ) (BE and PMI did a 2 to 2-1/2 foot spread at 70 feet)
I own 2 spyders.
Em1 (dye boomer 14")
Spyder 2000 (stock mostly now)

well, if he has a good paintbore match, a nice aa barrel, a new bolt, and either an x chamber, or a regulator then yes, it is good. But, certan people take time to aim ::gasp!::!

When i took my spyder out to the field guys with cockers would say my gun is pretty accurate. A lot more then they would have thought, that was with the stock barrel too, believe it or not.

MeWroq : exactly my point. People need to SEE or FEEL something before they talk crap about paintball products..
I've shot most styles of guns out there, cockers are nice, high maintaintence some times..
I've shot angels, just don't like the feel.. if it's a gun, to me it HAS to have recoil to it
i like blowbacks... the feel is what i like i guess.

I ust played today, and I have to say I was standing next to someone with a really souped up cocker and I was shooting just as good as he was, but his shot faster, but spyders are really good guns.

If by good you mean the same distance that is expected. Because if both of your guns were shooting at the same fps they will allways have the same distance no matter how good the gun is.

yeah but what I am saying to the smart @$$ who said some people take time to aim is he himself had pirahna pro and agreed even with his smart parts barrel the same identical barrel his shot alot more accurate...

Maybe spyders are more accurate. You can only tell if you shoot the gun and the paintballs curve or not.

i keep up with cockers and mags..but that took practice...now my gun is almost as accurate as the cocker/mags too, but i dont think mine will ever be as accurate as them....maybe it's just me..

Sorry to break it to you guys but, the gun does not determine the accuracy of your shots. The only thing that will make your shots more accurate is a better paint/barrel match. The same goes for distance if all guns shoot at the same volocity (except backspin) they will shoot the same distance.
So a cocker, spyder, shocker, m98, angel, all shooting a the same fps with the same paint and barrel with all shoot the same distance and be just as accurate.
Now the reason a cocker may seem more accurate is because it is more consistant than a spyder or m98. Since it is more consistant its shots will not have a volocity fluxuation like that m98 or spyder will.

eh...my gun is just as consistant as cockers, but i think it's just my shooting not the gun itself..and i think the blowback of my gun might ahve a little to do with it..but mostly i think it's just me, not the gun..

I don't mean to sound like an a$$. but blowback doesn't affect accuracy either. And unless your gun is on nitro, it probably is not as consistant as a cocker on nitro. Nitro is one of the things that helps consistancy also.

lol let me rephrase that:
I am close on consistancy..not as consistant, but enough to brag about...hehe and i'm not talking about the actual type of gun, ie blowback or blowforward, but i'm talking about Blowback, the effect after you fire, and your gun jerks..also known as recoil...with my stock bolt i got mad recoil...that might be part of the reason..
