Inside your ram.

Remove the back cap of your ram, use a q-tip to clean as much dow out of there as possible, try to get it all out. Cycle the ram a bunch of times, make sure to clean good.

Wipe down the hammer shaft from the front, get ALL the dow out of there. Squeeze about 7-8 drops into the ram body (Where you removed the end cap from), and 2 drops on the hammer shaft itself. Replace the ram cap, cycle the ram a bunch of times. Use 2 drops on each oring, and replace into the gun.

Dont relube until FSDO starts comming back. If the silicone works, dont touch anything. Once you notice it comming back, use a few more drops of oil.

Make sure the hammer itself and the hammer chamber are completely clean of any oil/grease.

its more of a grease then a liquidish type thing....is it the same stuff?

It should be just a thick oil. Like gold cup, but not as runny.

I'm betting you just got a silicone lube. As long as its 100% silicone its fine, but the shock OIL is what has worked best for me.

Say Legend,
Do you use ANY dow on the hammer shaft or just the shock oil.

No grease.

I completely disassembled my ram to get ALL the grease out. Thats a bit extreme, but I'm a perfectionist. Just clean it out good as best you can, and use the oil.

yeah youre only supposed to use dow.

Too bad it sucks :D

It voids your warrenty, but they will never know. If you send your gun in for warrenty repair or something to sp, just make sure you clean you solenoid and all that pretty good, cuz i think they check for it. But i bet that some of the guys up there wouldnt care, they would probably be too lazy to do anything about it.

k, i put the oil on/in the ram shaft and body. when i move the bolt back and forth with my hand it seems a little more stiff and less consistent as the dow. is that right?

we're both looking at you. Don't you feel ugly now? ;)

That's silicone SPRAY. You need silicone OIL. That won't work on the ram like the shock oil will, and since its areosol propelled it might do damage to orings. I wouldn't use it.

Dow is a silicone based grease, its fine to use both the oil and dow at the same time.

Where can I get silicon oil? No one in my little town has any... so I am looking for an online vendor.

Thanks.

Any hobby shop has it.

Search online for silicone shock oil...I'm sure you'll find it.

Too light and it will run out of your ram.

40 seems to work about perfect.
