what is the best alternitive other then the max flo

why no Max flow? The sidewinder rules- high flow and it comes in diffrent sizes.

i would personally recomend the palmer stabiliser, but why go out and buy a new reg, thats just as good as a max-flo, when the max-flo come FREE with an impulse.

That or Bob Long's new Torpedo reg (almost the exact same internally as the stab, just has airways opened up a bit more for higher flow).

Well not absolutley free because I'm sure you pay the full price of one somewhere in the impulse price tag.. but man can't beat an impulse no matter what ya got or what you payed..

lets see...there really isnt any alternative to the Max Flow. Its the best reg on the market. and you can use it without a second reg, its that good. why would you want to get a different reg when you already go the best.

yea, i've got the same question, b/c i'm thinking i'm gonna get an I-frame and the max-flo is too long to fit with that and a drop, and my friend wants the vert max flo for his shocker... so i'm looking at probably getting a gladiator, with either a melee or conquest tank. At the moment i'm running co2 though, would i be able to live for a little while running co2 through a gladiator?

I myself still run on a max-flo, but my buddy who plays on my team, and also owns an imp put on a Centerflag hyper-inline LP reg. by LP i mean 90-250 psi. Anyways, it is a great reg. It is consistent for him and is pretty comfortable to hold on to. But it shoots about the same as my max-flo. I wouldnt drop extra money on a new reg unless you could find a straight up reg for reg trade if you have the bottomline max-flo, and it "gets in the way"

yo mr. lobster-about the gladiator with co2-dont do it. Glads are good regs, but from VERY sensitive to dirt. Co2=dirty. If you want a new reg and are going to be using co2 for a while, i would highly suggest a lp Palmer's stabilizer.

The Impulse Vert MaxFlow will not work with a Shocker.

the Max Flow that comes on the Impulse would actually cost more around $100 (The Vert Max Flow costs $150, and its costs $50 to upgrade to a Vert Max Flow). But yes, its still a kick *** deal:)

Depending on what gasthru grip you have, you may need a vert adapter. Chances are you will. As far as the guage, it needs to be anywhere on the output side of the reg.

oRan6ecRusH: It sounds like you already have a verticle adapter, but one without the 2 holes for things like a gauge or PVR. You will need to get a new verticle adapter that has those 2 holes if you want a gauge. if you put one on your duckbill, you will see the pressure before it goes into the reg., and that wont do you any good.

Bck to your orginal question-- the Center flag (LP) reg works very well on the Impulse. We have tried a few others, but personaly I'll stick with the Center flag if you are not using a Maxflo.
