View Full Version : What is the ASA when u refer to oiling that part of the gun?

sorry i am a newbie and i got a spyder tl and someone told me all i got to do it put oil in the asa and dry fire it a few times for the oil to go through all of gun. is that true? and wat is the asa and where is it located on the spyder tl.

p.s. sorry for a stupid question but i just got into this cool sport.
The asa is where you screw your tank in, probably under your grip frame if you have a bottomline.
Oh and make sure you dont dry fire it right after you oil it with the barrel on

wow nice forums quick reply!,
so i put oil in area where the co2 tank screws into. take off barrel, and dry fire a bit? is that all the oiling i need to do or do i need to remove the bolt too?
I'm not too sure about spyders, but at least every year or every few months you should oil the bolt too
Oil the bolt to too keep in good luberated condition

yeah u put a few drops of oil into the asa then u gas it up and dry fire to oil all the moving parts

clean and oil your gun after every day of play....u dont have too but i would reccomend it.:|

thank u all, i will clean and oil it after every time i play like u said. i want it to last a while cause i dont make $$$$ easily and dont want to ruin it and buy a new one hehehe
