once i get paid for my internship here i will have around 600 bucks to spend. i want to do the right thing and I have a few options.
1) buy an M3 Dragun Compact and upgrade it.
2) buy a used blazer package
3) buy a used A/C package
I mostly play woodsball so I'll name some of the things that are priority to me.
Tough- Its gonna have to be able to take a beating, playing in woods naturally there is alot of crawling, rolling. and other physical activity involved, and the occasional ding on a rock.
Quiet- VERY VERY important to me. i've messed up many an ambush because my blowback was still a little bit too loud. I don't want to give up my position too quickly.
Upgradability (only for the M3) - I want to be able to upgrade it, mill it, anno it. and basically get most of the potential out of it.
Reliability- Some days i wanna be able to pick up my gun and not have to worry that the velocity will spike or my gun will jam. I want a proven design that won't quit.
Looks (optional)- not so important, but having a pretty gun wouldn't hurt. :)

CONGRATS on selecting the blazer, those guns are quiet, and reliable. if they break theyll be repaired for free (minus shipping) the blazer has many upgrades and can be fitted with any barrel threading (including tippman if ya wanna flatline) they are beautiful lightweight guns, and run great on co2. (palmer says that co2 has a lot more potential than people realize). while i constantly hawk the black dragun, it does have its limits. the blazer though is something truly unique. there are so many people with black draguns, but wiht a blazer ull stand out on the field, in ability and looks. oh sure u could get an impy, but i havent yet met a person with an impy that isnt an a hole (well basing on the experience ive had with said people) get the blazer, u wont regret it

UT could you go into more detail why you selected the #3 package? halB gave a convincing speech. he could be a telemarketer.
BTW: how does the blazer work. Ive heard about it's characteristics but how does it actually go about the firing action?

You already answered why...
Pretty tough (as long as you don't catch the pneus on anything (shroud maybe?))
Isn't very loud to begin with and can become very very quiet.
Upgradeable to hell and back.
Extrememly reliable if you know how they work and don't mess with it after you get it running right.
You can make it look hella sweet if it isn't already.
what will it take for me to get you to buy this blazer?
seriously though, the blazer has many advantages. first off the pneumatics are on the side, rather than sticking out in the front. this makes the gun extremely well balanced. second it is very light, two pounds witht he stock brass barrel. the trigger set up is also superior to an autococker, it is a rocking trigger instead of the stock ac sliding one. these things are built like a tank. like a tippman u can abuse it like its your neighbors car lent to you while their in jail for tax evasion, but u can get it repaired fer free unlike the tippys. the blazer is also very accurate, the valve is matched with the barrel for any bore size you choose. this makes the gun and accuracy oh so nice.

just get a cocker or impulse- your restricting yourslef alot on that list.
oh ya, i forgot bout that, he might restrict himself to one of the best semi autos, heaven forbid we restrict him to the gun made by the guy that invented the 3 way. or to a gun thats magnificently created, and well balanced, light, accurate, and with everything integrated inside so there arent any hoses sticking out that can pop off
