check out wolverine's tapeworm review (http://www.kamworld.net/paintball/reviews/tapeworm.html) in the FAQ, it has a very good set of instructions as to how to install it.

don't worry, the gadget grip and screw you mentioned are hard to get off, they have been put in with loctite, you just need to try hard enough

heat them up a bit with a heat gun/hair dryer...;)

I would recommend going to your local pro shop and having them do it. Otherwise, you can do it the way I did which is get a lighter, and put the flame under the screw for few minutes. I forget how long I did that for but it was a long time. The flame loosens the loctite. For me, the fire did not ruin the anondizing and the charred stuff wiped right off.

Someone told me that they heard you could put the marker in the freezer and let the cold shrink the screw and loosen the screw. But AGAIN, I HAVE NO FIRST-HAND KNOWLEDGE IF THIS WAY WORKS.

I can tell you based on my experience that the lighter trick did work and did not cause any damage to the marker or its anondizing.

But in hindsight, I probably would have taken the marker to the local pro shop and paid the few bucks to get them to install it.

The funny thing it, when you take it to your local pro shop, most of the time they just take a torch to it to heat the loc-tite and loosen it. The same thing you could do yourself at home for free.

Yeah, that's true. But it was seriously difficult to hold that lighter under my Impy because for one thing, the circular flint part of the lighter got really hot and burned my finger. But mostly, I couldn't stand to watch the marker get all charred up. I knew it wiped right off, but it was painful to watch nontheless. I just think the process would have been simpler with the right tools, like a torch.
