I have a stock Tippmann 98C with a 48ci /3000psi HPA tank.

Questions involving this equipment are:

For basic maintanence, is it good to do just the following:
Oil up area where HPA tank screws into gun?
Oil up front and back rings of bolt?
Squeegy out barrel?
Store unpressured?

Also...
When screwing in my HPA, do I do this decocked, or cocked? Meaning, do I cock it before air, or after air?

Also, as you can see my terminology stinks. If anyone could fill me in on anything I am not referring too correctly, that would be a double bonus for me.

Also, I have read the Tippmann manual, so please don't refer me to it. Just looking for additional explanations so I may enjoy my investment for a long time.

Thank you for your time.

Yes drop a few drops of oil inside the hole inside your ASA (where you screw your tank into)

Doing the above you shouldn't have too, Just check after you do it to see if it oils those o-rings or if you'll have to take it apart and oil them...

Yes clean the inside of your barrel as good as you can.

Always store unpressured

To gas up your marker, Cock it them screw in the tank, Be careful as to not crossthread or cut your o-ring,

ASA- The part you screw your tank into
Gasing up your marker is to screw in your tank and all of the things you need to do before it will fire...

those "rings" are O-rings,

Please never reffer to your paintball equipment or paintball in a military sence What I mean is this, Its a marker not a gun, Its Paint not ammo or ammunision. Its eliminated or Out not you've been killed. YOu get my point, I'm not saying you do, its just so you know and you don't look like and idiot. People love to make fun of those people...

i have a stock impulse with equalizer bolt, bullet cap, ricocket 2k speedball series, crossfire 68ci/3000psi nitrogen tank, voodoo low rise, hoping to get a blade trigger, and a vision eye.

answers involving this equipment are:

No you are not supposed to oil up the asa adapter as it will leak into the hose macroline and stainless steel (ss)

No just grease it with dow33 or just get a new bolt that is designed to not have any o-rings and you will not have the greasing problem due to the lack of o-rings.

i do after every game i play even though i dont break paint that often

just buy a cheap case and put your barrel in it, and your gun, and i put my tank in it and my hopper and grease and spare o-rings and what ever else i have.

and have it decocked and then put the air on then the paint, and then cock it after air
