From advertisements on TV. It looked really fun. The competition and real sportsmanship and seriousness of having fun in the sport.
Also I used to be a big laser quest guy until everybody didnt take it seriously and just started walking around and just running into ppl and walk by shooting. It got real boring and I needed an alternate past time.

I was attracted to paintball because it was overrun with multitudes of the hottest chicks in the world. I later found out I was lied to, but I still liked the game so I stuck with it.

I wanted to play at first when I was like 13 in 7th grade...but my parents said no to a weapon being in my hands.
I played counter strike religiously for like 18 months and wanted to sorta play the 1st person shooter in real life. my friends were starting to play so I bought the tippmann power pack and have been addicted ever since.
well i guess it started with nerf. i played nerf.
BUT I SWEAR I WAS LIKE 5 YEARS OLD AT THE TIME!!!
after that i love qsar (laser tag) i even bought those oh so crappy home things. well found out bout paintball, got into it, and well, im damn glad i did. although i cant play for the next 3 months, too hot. people dying of heat stroke left and right

Thats why im glad my field has night games. Its really hot here in south carolina.
My friend was having a birthday and he wanted to go play paintball. So we all went out and bought some BE talons, I played one game with that gun, threw it in the trash and rented a gun. Ive played sports before but they werent anything like paintball. And then my field built a speedball field. I almost died of pleasure. And from then on EVERY SINGLE PENNY i have earned has gone towards either playing or equipment, that was a year ago and im still buying stuff.
Ive gone through:
BE blade
Renting a Tippmann a lot
Spyder Compact
Black Dragun
RAT Impulse (I love this thing!)
And now that my field owner knows me real good, i get discounts left and right, and his products are already really cheap. 1 case of proball for $35.

I heard some kids at school talking about it and they said they were SO good. So my brother got 2 markers from Wal Mart and we showed them up. It was really fun. What I didn't like was they gave up when they got shot because they said we weren't playing fair... stupid. They just didn't like it because they never actually splattered eachother and we did to them.
Well I didn't want to play after that because I didn't think there was anyone left to play with. But I found SC Village Paintball park, went there and played, bought an ACI F4 Illustrator and have been playing ever since.

One of my friends told my friends and I about it. I got a small group together and we went to a field and loved it. Ever since then I've loved paintball. :D

I think one of my friends told me that his uncle and cousins paintballed, and that they had like Impys,Bushmasters, and Tippmanns. He said it was really fun, and then I began looking on the internet for sites like this, and I began looking at guns, and comparing, seeing what was good. Then I bought a Talon Ghost, played with it a few games, then I bought a Tigershark from a kid for like 10 bucks. It leaked,It still leaks, but I still love it. Then after a few games with those 2 guns, I did a bunch of research and bought my JT 4.0. I've only played a couple of games with it, I just got it like 4 months ago. And thats where I'm stationed now, thanks to my friend.

How much have you spent after that though? That was my point, it wasn't "only 130 dollars" to get into paintball. It is probably closer to somewhere around every cent you will ever make...

well, when I was 17 a couple guys in my class talkeda bout, almost had a spyder for my first gun, if I had 100 dollars on me I would have had it. But I didn't. So me and my friend talked about it for awhile, and last fall my school took a trip to CPX (this is college now) and it was really cheap, I think the only thing I payed for was like the rentals. There were like 3 or 4 people from my school there. and well.. I've been hooked ever since.... I'm sure the thing that got me hooked was the fact that I play counter strike all the time and It's really limited and with paintball, I'm not as limited. I also like the rush.... I like getting out there in the middle of all of it. So yeah. That's me.

Funny, I followed the same path. Karate, rock climbing, and now paintball.
