since barrel/paint match is the most impotant element of accuracy i guess the freak wold be the most accurate. i also heard that lapco's stuff is wicked accurate. oh well, i don't own either

Read the stickey on everything you wanted to know about range and accuracy.

no barrel is most accurate

only barrel kits will give significant difference

it can differ a lot. my friend had a ice cold barrel and it shot literaly ball on ball from about 30 feet. At the time my boomstick shot worse. My other friend now has a freak wich is awsome, but if you dont switch paint just get a teardrop, my other friend has a teardrop, from 10 yards it was shooting about 5 inch groups fully auto. Now I have a 14" boomy on my wgp, I personally like them better than the freak for some reason, but you should try both the boomstick and freak on your gun and see what you like.

sorry but the freak is not the most accurate made, the advantage
of the freak is that you can get decent accuracy out of marginal-to crappy paint, its a good system

the MOST accurate barrels are solid or glued like the boomstick, ultralight,LAPCO,javelin

also the quality of the internal polish will affect the performance
the most refined is the BOA,it has the least drag

BUT the only way to get the supirior accuracy out of them is to match them with supirior paint, hellfire, evil, marbs etc.

you cant cram 692 seconds into a 688 boomstick and expect
anything but lousy results

the other major factor in marker being accurate is absolute consistency, without it your 100 barrel or 200 kit will be useless
im sorry but you cannot expect to shoot darts if your useing un-regulated co2 ,look into reg's

then finally if you actually have shooting skills or not

no barrel is the most accurate, there are alot of barrels that have very good accuracy. U r never goin to find out what barrel is the most accurate because you will have to try everyone out. Its what length you have.

So your saying that if i used the same size insert as the boomy is that i would see less accuracy? I highly doubt that.

yes the inserts arent even long enough. The ball accelerates up to 8 inches

you cant use the same size insert,sp inserts are

.687,.689,.693 etc

boomstick ids are

.688,690,692 etc

the freak inserts cannot be polished to anywere near that of a
glued/fixed 2-piece or 1 piece and do not alighn in the same spot every time

ive owned and used both extensivly

I would find a barrel you like and then find a paint to fit the barrel. That should work the best. I like Smart Parts and BOA barrels. BOA's are probably the best built barrels in the world (for paintball). I would like to try a Palmer's barrel once because everything they make is pretty good but they don't rate real high on this site for some reason.

You guys are all full of B.S. The things that matter are finish and effective range. You want the inside of your barrel to be visible shiny with no scratches. For optimal performance, it should have 6-8 inches unported, 4-6 ported. That is for max efficiency and accuracy.

duh-almost

as i said before the internal finnish of the BOA is polished to 3 microns DYE ,SP,CP all go to 5-6 microns wich is perfectly fine

and yea its a given if your Inner is scratched it will affect accuracy

range is only going to be equall to the force used to shoot it,no 2
balls are going to fly farther if both are shot at the same FPS
regardless of barrel or marker

except for a backspin barrel or device

what about the armson stealth i thought they were kinda accurate?

No, no. The term "effective range" is the range of numbers in which the barrels should fall between to be most effective. 6-8, 4-6. I know that force equals mass times acceleration. A wee bit of miscommunication, that's all.
