is there anything special i gotto do to the impy b4 i use it??

sup all i just ordered my impulse from pbgear and im gunna take it to the field the day i get it to try it out my question is,do i have to do anything special to it or can i just put in the battery gas it up and go or do i gotto like adjust the dwell (im not even sure what that means) or do i well just do anything special b4 i use it in a game .... thanx a bunch 4 answers

i bought the gun cuz i heard great stuff on it and big deal i dont kno much on it i can learn i just didnt wanna get it and do something wrong and end up breaking it the first day

i bought my first impulse without knowing anything about it really. Just what ya gotta do is hold of on playing with it long enough to read the manuel!

yes, read the manual for the basics. gas it up, set ur pressure to within the operating range. check your velocity over a chrono & then adjust the dwell if need be. u have the new 2002 cricket board? do u switch the marker on from the back?:D

ok, if you have just got your imp here is the basic out line of what to do:

1-open box
2-read manuals (i suggest you download a copy off smartparts.com before you get your imp so you know what you are doing on the day)
3-get out your imp and screw in the barrel
4-plug in battery (if one isn't supplied)
5-attach hopper (don't fill with paint yet)
6-turn your max flo ALL the way down
7- attach tank and use on/off to turn on air supply slowly
8-adjust your max-flo till it reads 180psi
9- turn on your imp
10-look on the right side of your imp, the dwell is there, it controls velocity (basically), go to a chrono and adjust it till you reach roughly 20fps below your field limit and then fine tune with your max-flo.
11-play
12-check pressure/velocity between every/most games and adjust as necessary (an impulse will take a while to wear in, this will mean 2-4 cases of bad efficiency/creeping reg)

it should come lubed up, but even if it doesn't it will come with a small tube of dow33 (the only lube you can use on an imp without voiding the waranty)

the tube should be enough to relube your imp about 5 times, but you should think of ordering another (bigger) tube pretty soon, it doesn't cost much and comes in ridiculously large tubes. you should be able to get it from the place you got your impulse

you put the paint in at step 9.5, that way you will be shooting paint over the chrono instead of just air :D

no problem, i remember when i first got my imp it was impossible to get a straight answer out of certain members of this forum (you know who you are) so i decided that when i learnt about the imp i would at least try to give useful answers
