i've never shot a impy before, and haven't really seen one in action really(not popular around here i guess)anyways i have heard alot about the first shot shootdown and just wondering when it happens.
is it at the beginning of the game and only happens once or is after every time you stop shooting and you go to shoot it again?
i have another question as well, i read that the trigger pull is very long with the stock trigger frame...i would think the pull would be adjustable or was this guy correct?

FSDO has many forms.
It can be the first shot when you gas the gun up...then never happens again all day.
It can happen whenever you don't shoot you gun for say 5 minutes. On some guns it happens every time you stop shooting for 1 minutes. IT has different levels. Some people have it only when they leave the gun and dont' shoot for an hour. So they shoot once before each game and are fine. Some have it so much they can't even make it through a game without dealing with it every time they go to shoot.
Only the extreme cases of FSDO make the impulse useless.

FSDO occurs in about 30% of the impulses we sell. There are a LOT of things you can do to help it. Unfourtanly no one solution works 100% of the time. For most. turring gun upside down and shooting one just before the game starts is all youhave to do.
Quite a bit of the time cleaning the lube off the hammer, back of the hammer, the bumper, and the front of the hammer assembly (takes lees time to do then to type), switcheing to a new top quality battery, Decockeing the gun when not using it, and lubing will make it go away or be so slight that its not worth mentioning. We have installed PC shafts and Slick shafts in hammer assemblies and this has helped almost every every gun.
At anyrate- FSDO defently has some "work arounds" that make it a non-issue for most fokes

the stock trigger is not adjustable, if you get an aftermarket trigger then you can adjust it, or if you get a custom impulse (eg. RAT) which comes withan uprgaded trigger then they are fully adjustable, but the stock isn't
btw, i love the stock trigger, and wouldn't change it for the world (i can get 16 bps on it), and no it isn't very long, but i suppose it would be compared to some custom jobs on angels
