Just out of curiosity what gun would you recommend to a newbie besides something made by kingman?

Tippmann 98's are great starter guns, They have a very unique look to them and are very reliable. They take alot of punishment without not working and you don't have to worry about changing springs when the weather changes.

Now if you have a money tree out back of your house then you could start with an automag or an autococker. They will take some getting used too but in the long run it is worth it.

Everyone lately, has been reccomending piranha, I would reccomend either, but Piranha has better customer service... But chances are you can get all your questions answered online.

does anyone know anything about JT excellerators? no one seems to even though they sounds like great markers to me. i mean it got a 10.0 in the review section of this site so it must do something right...

i dont think an autococker would e a good first gun because of the mechanincs he should get used to cleaing and working with a simpler gun. i have a shutter and it is my first gun i think its a great gun, but if u dont want a kingman take a look at a ACI F4 or sumthin. those guns looks pretty nice another gun that is great is the viper m1 my bro has one and they are such good quality its just insane. i can get over how perfect every little detail is on that gun and it is very accurate and simple to disassemble.

its not necessarily that i dont want a spyder i just already have a good feel for how good they are because everyone has them so i wanted to hear about some other guns. who makes the viper? i forget.

i just noticed your name and avatar. u will definatley like this gun if u like military stuff. thats why my bro got it. it looks like a m4 carbine (an upraded m16) they come with a lifetime waranty! they will fix any problems u have with the gun (which wont happen cuz its way reliable) and will pay shipping both ways and get it back to u in 2 days. they are kinda spendy but well worth it. they are very consistent and dont need any upgrades. http://stores.yahoo.com/800paintball/vipm1mil.html that picture doesnt do this gun justice at all. the tank connects into the mag chamber thing biving it great balance and a compct design (u can bottom line if u want but its better with out it) i highly recommend this gun!

Well thats a pretty cool and unusual gun but its out of my price range. ive got it narrowed down to the excellerator 3.0 or the xtra. i just can't decide. only thing is pretty soon everyone and their mother is going to have an xtra.

yeah but with all the upgrades you can get for the xtra it is very easy to be able to distinguish yours from another xtra, the xtra has more upgrades and i am sure it is a better gun.

xtra. i have spyder shutter and i love it (not for much longer though, muahaha) if the xtra was out when i got my gun i would have got that cus it doesnt have all the cosmetics people complain about and it has vert feed. and if anything people having them would be a good thing cuz if u need help with it they will know and have tools for it. and u will probably upgrade it making it personal. pork schop is right the spyder is most liket gonna be more dependaable than a gun manufactured by BE

Well thanks for the advice. it isnt known for fact that BE actually manufactured the excellerator but it is possible. but have you not read the reviews for the excellerator here at pbreview?? not one person gave it less than a 10. so i don't know if id go bashing it. the thing that does attract me to the spyder is the large support it has and since so many people own them, including some of my friends, i could buy and trade stuff and get help with them if needed. but if what those people said about the excellerator in the reviews here is true then its still a close call for me.
