The improvement that Nitro has over Co2 I think, is enough to buy the tank. when i first got it, nitro, for my spyder, i noticed a difference in my consistance over the chrono, and a consistancy in my shot groupings. A tank could set you back maybe $80 and up.Here (http://www.paintballgateway.com/airsystems.html) you can find a plethora of tanks.

Two words. Angel AIR. Look into that.

No, really, a good tank is Crossfire's 45/4500 fiber wrap. Very small, lots of air for the size, lightweight.......and found on ebay for about $150 brand spanking new from a dealer.

I like Crossfire tanks also, except i have the 68/3k steel tank (Daddy wouldn't let me spend "too" much for just a tank :( ) Oh, well, i like the tank.

Angel A.I.R

e-mail the sellers and ask them

The tanks are brand new....and hence they aren't scratched. I got mine on ebay....2002 tank...they are Carelton Cylinders, which just got their hydro dates extended an extra 2 years.....
The tanks used to be Crossfire, now they're PMI, also a good brand. And check the feedback.
Here, this guy is good. He's a dealer, not a private owner. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1845654193

That would be my personal choice of tank. Besides, read the list, it's got a full manufacturer's warrenty, and the tank is brand spanking new, as are all the ones this guy sells. It's basically a store like Wal-Mart getting on ebay.
Go through the guy's feedback. Like, 576 positive, and what negatives there are are explained or posted by people with zero feedback and so forth....

But i still dont know if this would be a smart thing to buy at all. Would this be a smarter buy then say, an electronic grip frame? The price is about the same

Well.....you've got to look at your Co2 capabilities. If you have a 12 oz or bigger tank or so, and you plan on using the frame in short quick bursts when you get shots....it'll work. But if you're playing back and laying paint with that tank, it'll freeze up, you'll siphon liquid and so forth. If you, however, have a Palmer Stabilizer, an anti-siphon in the tnak and so forth...a killer Co2 setup that cost you as much as a nitro tank, then sure, sit in the back and lay paint. You may experience minor problems, or larger problems during the winter, but you'll be pretty much ok.....you might freeze an o-ring or something and have to replace it...valves are a pain to get at...but it'll work.
Or....you can buy the HPA tank and deal with the frame later. Your performance will increase as the HPA tank is using air, not Co2, of course, and it has a regulator on the tank (as all HPA tanks do....don't want 4500 psi going through your gun now do ya?), you can perform in the winter with ease, you won't freeze up if you do get the frame, and the gauge on the tank lets you know when to refill quick and easy. Oh....and no matter if it gets hot or not, the velocity stays the same, and the chrono demons won't rape you cuz you left your gun out. But you'll notice a DIRECT improvement in performance once you get the frame, and subtle difference with the air. But without that subtle difference, your frame could be a nightmare.
I vote tank, but I used a Storm frame before I got mine...course, I had a Stabilizer, but I still froze o-rings from time to time and had spikes.
