i had this idea a few months ago now they are making them!!

following is a direct quote.
"The ProMag 600 feed system from Xtreme Paintball has been a few years in the making. Sgt. Splatter fans will be tempted to call it the Auto-Lotto-Balls. Using a proprietary ball sensor system, the ProMag feeder detects the absence of a paintball at the feed port of the paintgun, then unleashes a burst of compressed air (from the self-contained compressed air system) to carry a steady supply of paintballs from the backpack, down the hose, to the paintgun. In a demonstration at the Zap Am Open shooting range, several hundred paintballs were fired through the system even with the paintgun held upside down. There is no scheduled release date or pricing, as Xtreme Paintball is negotiating with various manufacturers at this time."

That looks like a pretty good idea, but might it affect the manuverability (spelling?) of the gun? I figure that as flexible as they make it, it's still gonna have the balls in it, which might make it less forgiving.

Do you know how much it will sell for when it does come out?

and, um, weight?

maybe good for back players

if it holds 600 balls it is about 12 pounds but they probally have speical things that make it lighter weight

What if you slide into a bunker or crawl around? It would be pretty easy to crush some balls in the tube, and then you're screwed.

it's got to be the stupiest idea ever. i'm sure people will buy into it (because the masses tend to be fools)but if you break a couple of balls in the back pack, how much of a pain would it be to clean it out? it's bad enough that hoppers carry 200 hundred rounds but 600...that's some next level of cheapness.
back in the days when there were only the 10 round tubes it was good, and when they made the 40 rounder, it wasn't that bad and the 200 hundred rounder made it suck big time.
paintball has become the who can carry and shoot the most amount of paint contest. not having to reload on a constant basis has taken alot away from the game. i don't know of any REAL GUNS other than a few, that holds 200 rounds. it seems kind of ridiculous to make something that is so unrealistic and worse to play in such an unrealistic manner.

what ever happened to the good ol'days?

what ever happened to the good ol'days?

They're gone. Progress, inovation, a market that caters to the majority of what players want (a technological edge over the competition) has killed those days. They'll never be back either

And this gives you an advantage how?
How often do I really need to turn the Marker upside down and fire?

I want a nine thousand round hopper on my gun, I want a fire hose that sprays paint. I want paint grenades that can take out entire city blocks and an electro pneumatic hydrolic bionic mechanical marker that plays for me while I sit and smoke cigars nine miles away watching on tv. So there. I like 200 round hoppers. I like 200 round hoppers. I like 200 round hoppers. So there again and again. I'm upset now. Hold on. Okay, there, I'm fine now. I want a half million paintballs flying out of my arse and shooting paint filled snot rockets, I like technology,I want a hopper that loads paint for me, I want a back pack that tells time and hits on chicks for me, while it shuvs paintballs up the other teams arse with a robotic arm, damnit. I want a paint smart bomb and a paint skud missle. I want I want I want!!! I like 200 round hoppers. And I'll like 400 round hoppers if they sell me that too. You got something new for paintball, I want it!! I bought the 9volt, I bought a 12volt, now I have an egg, I want the star wars hopper and that HALO twitch is raving about. Now I NEED this backpack. I luv it, I want it, I'll get it!! Screw the old days, I like the new days. I like strange days and nights, and never limit myself to one damn gun with one damn hopper and one damn paintball!

here another hose feed idea from air gun desings
http://www.pbreview.com/fpics/Incube060201095507tn_MVC195S_jpg.jpg
Airgun Designs developed the Warp Feed to provide fast, reliable feeding, while keeping the hopper below the paintgun. They left it to Pro Team Products to sell adapter kits so that the Warp Feed will work on non-AGD paintguns - the first units were available for sale at World Cup. The Warp Feed uses a piezoelectric sensor to activate when the paintgun vibrates from firing.
