When i bought my full freak the store messed up and so i ended up getting the tear drop and all american tips.... i tested them both out and I found that the AA tip made less sound and had a little (not much, but still noticeable) better accuracy. Ive only used the AA tip since.

Teardrops are fairly cheap.. around 50 bucks.. its a very accurate barrel and is very quiet.. if u got the extra 35 bucks go to the 2k2 SP AA... otherwise teardrop is the way to go.. Great barrel.

I think the tear drops are pretty quiet and have neater looking porting, but looks don't mean performance. I have an all american, and it shoots VERY straight and REALLY quiet, I used it at my cousins house once on my JT Excellerator 4.0, and all you could was the "chink" of the bolt. I have the older version of the all american, and the only difference between the 99 and 2k2 is that the 2k2 has a removable back and looks better. (got mine at firstcallpaintball.com for $50.) I think either one is a good way to go. But I would prefer the AA.

Go with the AA if you have the money. You can get the fronts you want in the colors you want to match your gun much easier than trying to find a teardrop that matches.

Performance, the AA is definately quieter like everyone is saying, and the accuracy is slightly better.

they will shoot about the same, but the aa is a two piece barrel, so its more expensive
