a ghillie suit is an invention taken from scottish hunters who made suits out of dyed fabric to allow themselves to get closer to their prey by sneaking up on them. In scotland there aren't alot of trees so they had to blend into the grass of the hills. The army adopted them for snipers and so have paintball snipers. I have respect for anybody who has the patience to use one successfully but I myself don't really think they are effective for my kind of playstyle
