nvader lens problem

After I cleaned my lenes for the first time. A paintball actually stained the lens a lite yellow color and the lens were tack and sticky to the touch making it impossible to see out of. Any idea why this might of happened? Any input would be great.

P.S. I have ordered new thermal lens instead and tossed the others out.

I've seen the same thing happen with certain Pink filled paintballs. They contain iodine. Iodine is used in some "Tournament" fill paintballs because it stains and can't be wiped off.

the same thing happened with my nvader goggles. They got stained pink. I just put some windex on (even thought its supposed to be bad for it) and it came off. Just make sure that right after you put the windex on you wipe it off right away. I dont really like my nvader mask that much. too hard to breathe in i think,plus it fogs up. wutev. hoep it helps.

yea, sounds like you didn't clean your mask after getting hit. This lies true for any mask lens. IF you get gogged, and just get lazy, and forget to clean your mask, the paint will stain the lens.

Same here..I got gogged but right after the game i cleaned them off. I cleaned them again when i got home. And there is sort of a pink tint to my lenses. nVADER is trash i regret buying it. Can't breath in it and the foam goes in my eyes.
