there is a sign at my field that says they do not fill hpa tanks while off gun. i didnt know you could fill them while they are on the gun. is this the only way to fill them?

the only way i've ever seen it done and how i do it is the little nipple system off the side of the tank, i'm not sure if the pin valve on the tank is 2 way flow, there are lots of tanks that don't even come off your gun so i don't know, i don't see why they'd make it only 1 way, i've just never seen a nitro fill station that goes onto the pin valve and not the nipple

not quite sure i understand the question but, does the screw in tank have an on/off valve? if it does, you SHOULD be able to take it off w/ nitro still in it, as long as the valve is closed:)

you can take it off, since it's not a mounting tank but i don't know why you'd want to, and also its kinda hard to screw it back on if you don't have an on off because the pressure is pretty high. do able and you don't lose as much air as you do w/ co2, but like i said before i don't see a reason to do so

oh i see your problem, i don't think taking it off and putting it on should be a problem, when i was adjusting my regulator i took my tank off and put it on about 5 or 6 times with air in it
