I kno everyone's been saying that the freak set is the most accurate barrel u can get out there. What I don't understand is that a lot of people say barrel A is better than barrel B, but both of them use the same bore size with the paint matched to its bore. How is barrel A better? That brings me back to the freak set. Does the honing make the barrel more accurate? So does that mean that the freak barrel isn't really the most accurate barrel out there?
Also, since the insert is like 6 inches (that was a guess), wouldn't the ball be making contact with only 6 inches of the barrel, virtually making a 14 inch barrel turn into a 6 inch barrel? This also applies to two piece barrels. Usually the front piece is bigger than the back piece, thus making the ball only touch the back side (i.e. Boomstick). Can someone clear this controversy between barrels? Now I don't even kno which barrel is good anymore. Does anyone have any sites that have barrel testings?

Barrel A isnt better ;). The only reason people say the freak is the most accurate is because it can pretty much match any paint on the market unlike other barrels. paint to barrel match causes accuracy.

six inches is all a paintball needs to gain its highest speed

Paint to barrel match is good but say if I bought paintballs the size of .689. The freak barrel can accomodate that size perfectly. But say I had another barrel the same size: .689. Which one will be more accurate. Probably the other barrel. So far, the only real plus with the freak is that you don't have to buy multiple barrels of different sizes in case some fields make u use their paint.
No it isn't. A paintball needs at least 8-10 inches to reach its highest speed. If the ball only makes contact with 6 inches, the rest of hte 8 inches is unguided, meaning that it'll be less accurate. Say if u had a paintball with a size of .689 and u fit it with the right insert. The front part of the barrel's bore size is .695. That's a big change from .689 to .695. Air will overtake the paintball inside the barrel, causing turbulence inside the barrel, making hte paintball run down the barrel unstable. This will cause inaccuracy. If a paintball only needs 6 inches, why don't they make 6 inch barrels?
