I live in PA (paintball capital of the US:D) and like to know if anyone was ever been to skirmish? I like to know how are the fields, the prices, the refs, and what type of field paint they use. Also if any info on anyother paintball fields whould be great.
I recommend Iron Trinagle which is about 30 minutes away from Allentown, and a hour and a half from Philly
Enjoy :wink2:

Hey, I live in PA, like 30 minutes from skirmish. There fields are excellent if u like rec/woods ball, if yer more of a speedball player, it's okay, they have like 50 fields, they switch around paint,I think right now it's 32 degrees competition, normally it's PMI Prem. It's so expensive though, It's 30 to get in, 100 for a case of 2000 paintballs, and u can get lunch for about 5 bux depending how much u eat, I can get 2 burgers, 2 hot dogs and a gatorade for about 5 bux. The refs are normally pretty good, stay away from Ross though, he's a jerk, just messin Ross, but most of the refs are decent. I recomend going on some of the discount days, like August 4th is half price paint day, and in December, like the 14th, 15th, 20th, and 21st is half price everything days. Young Guns days are fun, so long as yer under 19, it's so much fun poundin noobs, young guns day are basically the same as any other day, but you pay your age. So, I hope you get an idea of what Skirmish is about, if u need any more info, just ask.

Tirangle is a smaller field but gives some nice perks such as:
1) Bring your on paint, you DON"T have to buy field paint:D
2) Great people, doesn't matter if you are a newbie or vet, you are welcome and treated great :)
3) $20 to get in, and if become member only $5:D
4) Great wood ball, but no true speedball, sorry torney players
5) The website doesn't say much but it works, the hyperlink is Iron-Triangle.com (http://www.iron-triangle.com/)

If you have any more questions just ask;)

Deadfish,

Yo man where do you live in allentown? I live in whitehall like right by the school campus. Have you ever been down to the coplay ruins to play? I haven't been down there in a while but I have played with a couple of kids from beca and central down there. I was wondering if you were one of them.

BTW man ...have you ever played EMR? It's a very friendly field like Skirmish. They also are failrly large with something like 30 fields (www.emrpaintball.com). They have some nice senerio and big games also. MXS was there twice this year...once earyler that I missed, and once this month on the 24th and 25th for a 26 hr game that I'm still debating whether or not to go to. It's a decent drive from allentown though...something like 1hr 45min. So I only go up for large game stuff. They also have a castle conquest comming up sept 28th (Castle Conquest XIV). It's going to be $25 to prereg and $80 a case. If you want to go I'm almost definitly going up. We could hook up if you wanted to. I'm always looking to meet players that are decently serious in the area.

BTW...I might check out Iron Triangle soon...I hear it's pretty good from others...and I'm sick of paying 70-90 a case at global.

We were ****ing around and he was shooting my cocker at the other younger ref....funny ****.

Wuzup101,

Do you play with Devon and DJ Scott and all those guys down at the ruins? I go to CCHS with both of those guys and have talked to them about the field.

Thats cool that you know him I would just never play outlaw that is why I have never been over to your field. If you guys got a chrono though........:)

Deadfish
08-11-2002, 04:12 PM
I agree w/ rebelflanker32 about the chrono. I have been know to shoot 375 consistently without knowing. I mean that can hurt if I shoot yah at that speeds

Wuzup101
08-11-2002, 06:15 PM
Eh...I usually chrono over at global once and a while and I don't really mess with my gun... usually shooting about 275... anyway I think I'm going to get one of those yellow hand helled chrono's for my bday in november....will make it much easier to sweet spot the gun after I screw with it. Anyway...how old are you guys...anyone up for the WRG at skirmish? If I have to bring lots of people...I can take the mini van :eyes: instead of my eclipse

Wuzup101

LOL...BTW...I'm always the guy shooting HOT...because you know...my n2 tank makes the balls go faster  ....gotta love uneducated paintball players.

Rebel32flanker
08-11-2002, 06:42 PM
LOL that is great, but seriously you couldn't pay me to play outlaw. No refs no chrono, no deal.

Wuzup101
08-11-2002, 06:44 PM
Eh...just a bunch of friends having fun...it's not like the refs do a whole hell of a lot during normal walk on woods games.

Deadfish
08-12-2002, 03:40 PM
I got to agree, chrono is very important. I mean I don't want to hurt anyone:cool:

Rebel32flanker
08-12-2002, 05:42 PM
Yeah refs only prevent people from wiping not like that is important or anything

Wuzup101
08-21-2002, 04:10 PM
Yeah I know...1 ref prevents 20 people from wiping on a normal walk on game....sure...maybe from whiping after you goggle someone or hit their hopper 3 or 4 times. But most of the time people get hit and the ref doesn't even see it when there are that many people. This isn't a tourney we are talking about...there isn't 4 or more refs on the field.

I might be going to the record game with a bunch of friends. the thing is, we have school the day after, so that may be a pain. But, I am definately going to castle keep. If anyone wants to hook up....

is bunkering allowed at skirmish or do you have to use the "surender rule"?

Woozer
08-26-2002, 02:54 PM
Depends on the ref, most will say surrender or die, but Roger and...I think it's bill... or maybe phil... lets you bunker too

deltateam2
