I play mid for a ten man team and i was wondering which would be a better chose. I am thinking of either a Matrix with an aardvark bolt kit, trinity reg, and aligator trigger or a Vision Impy with tapeworm, I-Frame, New Dezigns Bolt, Voodoo full flow block and fore grip. I would running it on a 68 4500 Max Flo and feeding it with either a ricochet or a Halo. What would you chose?

I would probably choose the Impy because I love mine so much. Vision with the I-Frame I have heard is a Deadly combination for your opponit.

They are actually two very different guns. The only thngs they have in common are that an imp uses an eye to prevent chopping amd a matrix has low pressure to eliminate chopping. Open bolt ( Imps have a little kick) vs closed bolt (matrixes have almost no kick due to only one moving part) my point is they are very different but either sounds good to me. Size difference the matrix may be a little more balanced and not as tall.

Even though I am a huge Impulse fan I am gonna have to say the Matrix. IMO, just an all around better gun. Beats the Imp in almost all aspects. I would have gotten one but could only afford an Imp which I am very pleased with.

I agree . . . I like matricies more than any impulse, they shoot so awesome. . . I feel they are better designed, slightly faster and better shooting.

Both guns are open bolt.

I'm sure most of you know my opinion. Definately get the matrix, I wish I would have never gotton rid of mine.

they are kinda closed bolt...

the ball loads in the open bolt position and fires the ball a few milliseconds (maybe less) after the bolt moves forward. Its the same concept as the PGI Firestorm Cocker (POS) but feels like a shocker when you shoot it.

very little kick and fast...

i don't know which one i would go with...
probably the matrix since there is less stuff to go wrong, even though the impulse is a very reliable marker.

You just described every open bolt gun on the market.

Trixes are open bolt, period.
