I want to hear from you guys your opinion on which marker makes the best backup. Consider:
-price
-reliabilaty
-performance
-availability of parts
-amount of matenance

I think most people don't actually go out and buy a gun to be a backup... they just keep their old gun when they get a new one or if they find a really good deal on a used gun that their friend is selling (for instance) they'll pick one up.

A key word up there is price.

okay a backup should be cheap, not somebodies main marker. for that i could wholeheartedly suggest the tornado. 50 bux. cant be broken, pretty decent, no upgrades or warranty, but for 50 bux, its a back up that costs a case of paint.

my backup is a Tippmann M98. Yeah, it's big and clunky and looks like a rental, but no matter what I do to it or how infrequently I bother to clean or oil it I know it will always work.

BK0s make good backup guns. Mags are nice, because they never break down, and now with lvl 10, they don't chop either.

Your pretty right, By the time you get the cash with playing to by the next gun you have learned how to keep your prevouse marker how to keep running well, so it does become your backup marker.

Black Dragons make the best backups. You can take the air or whatever off the broken IR3 or whatever, and the HALO or whatever, plug them on the Dragon, maybe a little barrel or something, and go arse whoopin!

Me? I use a Phantom for backup...I just can't put her down...but I've never needed a backup gun. Ever.

Brass Eagle Raptor. The price is nice, but you have to have a good understanding of how to make broken guns work again in order to use it. The screws all strip like this (snaps finger) and overall, its a gun to avoid. I made the mistake, I dont want any more to :)

Actually, it's a solid performer with a lighter trigger spring and stainless steel connection pin. You dont even need a LPC to go low pressure, the valve chamber is so massive.
