Do you think you really need to completely take out the lens on the Jt masks after every day you play? I clean everything that i can without taking the lense out of the frame. It is such a pain and it seems like that it is worse on that rubber by peeling and pulling on it and stretching it out. I know this should be in the mask forum but i wanted to see what the majority of the paintball players do.

I completely remove the lense, wash it with warm water, and let it air dry. I find that you get the fewest streaks if you let the lense air dry. After it air drys, I reinstall the lense in the mask and apply no-fog spray (I use single pane lenses.)

What kind of mask do you use? I can understand if its a v force, but I can't believe that a company would expect someone to go through all the trouble to take out the lens and put it back in every time in a mask like the spectra or invision. Also I ask lots of people at my field and the guy that runs the pro shop and they all look at me like im crazy when I tell them I take it out each and every time.

I use the old elite system JT masks. The Alpha 2000's you can get at wal-mart to be exact. After you remove the lens and put it back in a few times you get used to it and it becomes much easier.

Personally I only take the lense totally out of the mask when I get gogged. The main reason is a lot of paint gets down under the rubber and slowly eats away your lense. I got lazy and didnt take my lense out after getting gogged and within a few weeks my lense was cracked.

Paint will slowly eat through your lenses if you leave it sitting on them. Left my mask covered in spray for a couple days and had small spots where the tint had been taken off from the paint.

My suggestion is at the least is to take your lense out and clean it when you've been gogged that day.

I dont take the lenses out of the frame on my spectra. I was reading a magazine that said if you leave them in it weakens the mask. Is this true because I dont know anyone at my field that does this and as far as I know, none of thier lenses have broken on them. What do most people at your fields do?

i take the lense out as least often as possible i got a flex 7 ize and it is very hard to remove and put them back in u dont need to get into every crack to clean just clean what is exposed its not like the paint inside will harm it or anything mayb clean it once a year or better yet replace the lense once a year
