I am gonna get a nasty or rat impulse in the NEAR future and I was wondering what you guyes thought about the trustworthyness of either of these markers? Should I save up for the RAT/NASTY and keep my cocker as a backup marker or just sell my cocker for the extra cash. Can you trust these imppys to not break down on me in the middle of a tourn?

the one word of advice i can give you is that you NEVER know when a gun is going to go down for some dumb reason...even cobra angels have their bad days....i have seen almost every gun out there go down one time or another....so if you are going to be a serious tourney player...always have a backup

Anyway, as long as you take care of your marker you shouldn't have a problem. I have never missed a tourney/practice because my gun(s) was down, and I dont have a backup. Take care of it, carry extra parts/seals, and you'll be fine.

You were taking it a little far though, RATs arent works of god or anything.

instead of saying "trustworthyness" you should ask for there "realibility" it sounds more intelgent and whwn you say trustworthyness it makes me think of your gun running away

maybe thats what he meant!
Just be sure to lube your gun with tranquilizers (to calm it down) then lock it in a cage.

If I where you I would keep a backup marker no matter what, however I would not recommend using a cocker as a backup. Cockers are great guns but they have too many parts to make them very dependable, for the money a Tippmann 98 custom with a few add-ons makes for a great backup, or even a stock Imppy if you can get enough from your cocker to afford one
P.S.
do you remember me? (the kid that chilled w.you guys @ Thunder in the hills)

all i can say is solenoids suck.....
but i still love my nasty.
(p.s. solenoid problems are not pbwholesalers fault. solenoids are straight from SP and sometimes there are bad batches of solenoids)
