I wouldnt suggest leavin ur tank on ur gun unless its empty...

Its not very expensive gettin ur tank filled, but do remember that your gun will remain pressurized as long as that tank is in, wearin on ur parts...

I'd strongly suggest never leaving ur gun pressurized when not in use. (between games and whatnot of course but when the day is done always take the tank off)

Turn your max flow down to zero, shoot all the air out, and take the tank off. There will hardly be anything spraying out.

Use the oring trick when screwing your tank in, and nothing will spray out.

Or, just pay the 20 bucks and buy an on/off valve.

all the air that comes out is about the equivlent of 10 shots...

well if you have a horizontal maxflo, you might have a problem with the tank spraying air uncontrollably. I think the problem has been fixed, but it used to be that the pin in the asa was a little too long and it would open the valve on the tank before the manifold was sealed, and air would spray out everywhere.

All you have to do it slap an o ring or two in your asa and that will do it. If you have a vertical maxflo dont worry bout it.

I have a newer horizontal max-flo and I still need the o-ring trick. Its no real biggie, but its a necisity.

ok really bad question but im getting a 2002 impulse wit vert reg wit a crossfire 68ci 4.5k psi hp tank. so to stop the spraying and not having to buy an on/off adaptor all i have to do is set the max flo to zero and shoot until it sputters?

I am pretty sure that you only need the on/off valve for co2. I use hpa with no on/off valve. The tank doesnt sputter if you screw it in far enough. And I ALWAYS!!!! gas it up with the maxflow turned down and then turn it up slowly to avoid "shocking" the solinoid.

ok stupid question is it that easy to rember the seting on the max flo?

The guy that runs the field I play at is a good friend of mine and he said if you leave your tank on your gun with the tank pointed upwards the co2 packs itself into the gun or something like that. This might only be for non-antisyphon tanks but if not, then that would mean the first time you shoot that gun when you use it again, you'll be shooting at about 3** something psi. OUCH!!! I might be wrong though, just a precaution.

Why do you need to remember anything? Just turn the Max Flow down, screw the tank in and go to the chronograph. Raise the pressure of the Max Flow untill you're shooting 280fps. Simple as that. You should always turn the Max Flow down before you screw your tank on.

To Screw IN a tank

1. Have your Max Flow at 0
2. Slowly Screw in your Tank
3. Slowly increase your Max Flow till you are at 280 FPS and around 180 PSI

this is another stupid question. If you have an on off do you need to turn down the max-flo all the way when gassing it up?

leg....turning the maxflo to 0...does that put uneeded strain on the maxflo? does it wear the maxflo down faster?

No. Max-Flow 4500 systems are pressurized all the time.
