hey, im thinkin about doing some milling on a m98 i have, how do yall think this will look? im doing both for looks and to make the gun lighter cause as we all know its incredibly heavy.

im thinking:
-mill between the gills all the way through the body
-continue these lines up to the top of the gun so it makes a litte "v" on the top (these will not be all the way through, just depressed some)
- take off the top raised part so its smooth on the top
- take off the part that holds the rear site (i lost the site anyway)
- make a single straight line all the way through the body in the center of the top so you can see the rod slide back and forth
- make lines parallel to the bottom of the grip on the rear grip under the grips so that there is less metal there and thus less weight
- make a hole on each side where the Vertical adapter goes (like on the milled bodies they sell on county paintball)

not sure what else...any suggestions? anything you suggest NOT doing? just wanna make sure it looks good

Personally, I wouldn't mill my Tippy in a million years. Why? Why in the world would you want your gun open to get all sorts of junk in it? What happens when you get hit on the gun, and the insides are now coated with paint? Or what if you drop your gun in the dirt and get a bunch of crap in there?

Nah. I'll go with function over form any day...

only milling i would do is the gills if you decided to do any but I would reccomend keeping it unmilled.

well this isnt my model 98, i dont do anything like that to mine, but i have a bunch of model 98s layin around so i just wanna screw around with it and make it look pretty

plus i have friends with milled gills (which is the only part thats actually all the way through the gun) and it has never caused them problems

I have friends who have driven drunk before, and so far it hasn't caused them any problems, but you don't see me drinking a forty while going for a joyride.

i agree with crime...im assuming thats also why he got rear cocking, like me, to prevent crap from getting in ur cocking slot...
besides, milling the gills will just reduce the amount of co2 behind the ball.
