I am very glad to see everyone getting into paintball and getting the chance to finally own their own paintball marker, but does anyone planning on going high end?? i just thought seeing a ton of posts on novice level guns was a tad monotonous. But non-the-less, keep asking those questions on markers and equipment!! the more people into paintball the better!

I know what you mean MC, it seams like there are only 2 other cocker owners on the board.

yeah, i just realized your point. i have a (2) question(s) about them too. is there a cockers owners group out there and why did shocktech stop producing their black lp chamber??

I think there are several Cocker owner groups out there but I haven't joined any or been to any good ones. If you find one tell me.
I didn't know shocktech stoped making lp chambers. Maybe they stoped making them so they could make em for cocker 2k's.

I usually leave most of my problems and work (to be done on my cocker) to my proshop airsmith. Fortunately for me, the owner is Ritchie M from team image. He has a free flow and a whole slew of other guns, but he specializes in autocockers. and they always through in something cool extra at no charge. its pretty cool to be able to keep the business in the community and it builds up a player to field owner (and player too) relationships.

I own a cocker 2k. No problems yet. Just been spending most of my time learning about it, and shoping around for that next upgrade. It gets a little frustrating because they changed so much between the 99 and 2000 that a lot of parts won't work right on the 2k.:(

Not really that many parts have changed that are commonly upgraded. Bolt, backblock, frontblock, banjo bolt and thats about it.

Yeah, but that is actually an awful lot. There are a lot of front blocks, and bolts out there for the 99 than the 2k. I don't mind though. I am very happy with the 2k stock. I will probably be buying a rock reg...and possibly and ANS trigger pack in a month or two. I was told by a friend that if you get the ANS trigger pack, you should get the ANS 3/4 way because otherwise it is a BYOCHHH to time. Does anyone here know anything about that?

I've got a high end gun. Not a cocker though, but I've got the best gun on the market for my needs, and a big @ss hole in my bank account to prove it

What kind do you have eltwicho? Did you get an electric. They can all put a big @ss hole in your bank account. Especially once you start to make them yours with upgrades.

Bob Long intimidator, plus an inline air america vigilante reg, shocktech drop forward, nitro and a 12 volt revvy. big big big hole in the pocket. Plus those damn batteries are expensive . The ones for the revvy that is, I've probably put about 30,000 shots on the marker (the vast majority in the first week, where'd I'd turn it on and just pull the trigger to hear the solenoid click :) ) and havent had to change the batteries yet, but my revvy just chews right through em. I should start buyin the cheap kind instead of this "Duracel ultra" stuff

Really? I havn't had any problems with my revy. Do you have the 12volt or the 18volt. I have heard the 18s are murder on batteries. I have the 12 and I have to replace them every 4 days of playing. I've got a 2k cocker, dye boomstick barrel, 12v revy. I am working on it. It is my new project. I hope to have it done by the end of the year.

yeah, its pretty cool to be able to chat and learn from a real pro. When special events come around, you can even play along side them in a game.

I get maybe 2 days of play from mine. How much paint do you put through yours in a day of play?

Dman

Probably about a case or so a day...sometimes more sometimes a little less. I don't have a crazy trigger finger though. That might have an effect on your revy. If you shoot really fast you will use the rev more than I do.

MC Escher

yeah, me too, ill go through a case a-day. I dont have a "heavy finger" on the trigger, but i play for hours on end. i play usually 7 or 8 hours everytime i play. At the field i play at (owned by Ritche (Image)) i pay 5 bucks and i can play until sundown or til im the only man left. I dont know though, with my new cocker i just might become a little paint crazy :-)

elTwitcho

Yeah, I dont shoot alot of paint, but what I do shoot is fairly fast and about 10 shot bursts if the guy is behind cover, and my reccy spins everytime I shoot so that's probably it
