Freak barrel trouble!

i might sound like an idiot or a newbie... but i just got my freak, and it seems that the inserts don't fit right...
which side are you supposed to put the inserts in, the front of the rear peice, or the back(where you screw the barrel onto the gun)

once seated correctly, should the insert be sticking out the front or back of the rear peice?

and also, how hard should it be to put it into the rear peice?

OMG N00B!! Git out of my sport! LOL. JK. Actually I would like to know this also for I am planning on getting a freak and would be helpful to know how to put it together.
